Ok let me share a different view point, who says Ford needs to compete at all with any other manufacture. The raptor is top dog in its class period. Chrysler/fiat can do whatever they want, throw a hellcat motor in their pos 1500 with some bling badging and pos shocks !! And that's a challenge to the raptor?
Humorous at best. I say Ford has a proven winner with the raptor and although there is always room for improvements it shouldn't be because some dodge pos just showed up to the party!!!

How the F does the size of the screen make it anymore likely to break??
I’m not saying anything about the size - I’m talking general reliability from FCA. I’ve had FCA products previously (Alfa Romeo) and while it was a beauty to look at, it was never out the dealership with small niggly issues, a lot of them electronically related.

Just my opinion. Check out YouTube, there’s some dude Street Speed 717 I think it is. Anyway he jumps a Gen2 in a way I just don’t see the TRX holding up to. I’d happily be wrong, I’m not hating on it. To each their own, it’s just not for me

I’m no fan of anything Chrysler, and generally agree with you about that.

In reality though, 90% of Raptors never leave the pavement (mine included) so I tend to look at HP as the more daily used feature. That’s just me though.

Completely understand and with you on that. While the TRX HP #’s are mightily impressive (and truly they are) if I’m wanting to go fast onroad - I’m going to be in a more focused sports car or something a bit more fit for purpose.

Most of us bought our Raptor’s for the looks and the ability to say it could do it if we wanted to...
Either way, both impressive machines. I can’t say I’d ever trade my Raptor for a TRX personally as they just don’t do it for me

Gen 3 Raptor is going to launch with same engine and trans as the current Gen 2 Raptor. No HEV is planned for the Gen 3.

Where did you get this information? And also do you know of any other potential engine offering in the Raptor at a later date? :smiley-face-popcorn

This is a mistake for Ford. I think they are smart enough to realize this and will not go with the 3.5 eco/power boost. There is absolutely no way this could compete with the TRX and would become the laughingstock of trucks. Say what you will about the TRX, but the masses want that type of thing when comparing Raptor and TRX specs. Ford knows this - they have to compete.
