I've done that also because it happened while I was in the outer banks on vacation and thought I could just silicon it myself. They didn't say anything about it and it didn't void the warranty.

OK good to know.
So this is what my red LED's looked like filled with rain and now that it's dried out only two remain working. I guess they work better submerged, Lol!
While cleaning up I have noticed what looks like some water staining and the primer blistering under where the jack sits.

Wow...lots of water...you going to take that in for the dealer to look at and see what options they give you?

I am going to make an appointment first thing on Monday morning. Probably should not have sealed it up with silicone, seemed like the right thing to do at the time. I hope the silicone won't still be wet when they take it apart. Just imagine the mess they will make if it is.

silicone should dry and fully cure in 24 hours. i think they will have a hard time getting it off though

Its been very cold and wet here even some flurries last night. The area around the light is dry, but I Am wondering about the sealed up areas between the light and the truck, I did put a lot.:banghead:
I should loosen it up before I take it in so they don't pry it off with a screwdriver. Lol!

Let us know what the dealer says...I hope they get you back ASAFP...

You did not really have a choice sense it was leaking...

Don't feel bad. Been an issue since 2004/5... don't know why they can't get it right.
