Lot of BS by people who do not know Shi# from Shinola as a properly set up oil burner will leave a gas motor sitting still.

Love the comment about the new oil burner blowing black smoke lol---they do not do that anymore even with a tune.

Be careful---my Cummins would spin in 4wd. With a bigger turbo, tuner, exhaust and modified tranny with a 5 disk TQ, propane etc. it is ugly what you can do to pig gasser snot nose kids trucks... Been there done that!

Exactly

Especially a raptor, aren't they only like high 14-low 15 second trucks? I just don't see the results that happened

I don't know about where you guys all live, but down here there are like 5 really good diesel mod shops that just crank out ridiculous trucks.

On ANY given night at the drag strip, Ill see 4 or 5 "bubba" trucks, lifted with those silly stacks and a ****** pink browning sticker on the back of their windows.

I wanna puke every time I see one on the road, expecting to pull up next to the truck, look over and see a face painted white with a funny little hat and a big red squeaky nose in the drivers seat.

.....but when they consistently are running the 1/4 mile in sub 12 second passes? Is hard to ignore that kind of performance.

Many would be surprised at the power a diesel can make. We used to manufacture diesel performance parts and had 2 diesel powered prostock drag trucks and a diesel dragster. Back then it was the fastest diesel in the world. Ran high 7's in the 1/4 at 170mph. They made 1400 hp and about 2800 ft lbs of torque. Even a supercharged raptor won't stand a chance against a decently modded Cummins.

I have one of those "gay little Cummins" trucks. #1, unless your friend tossed a $10k tip to his dealer, he didn't blow $80k on a new loaded ram, tuner, pipe, and wheels. #2, If you spanked him, either he wasn't running the hottest H&S tune (hot damn tune, which has to be bought after you get the tuner, it doesn't come with this tune) or his stock auto trans is doing what any 68rfe does, and failed to put the power down. #3, I don't agree with driving with my tow mirrors up unless: A. i'm towing or B. I feel like being a ********** and making every lowered civic in town rev at me and want to race. And #4, I have an H&S installed on my truck now, and only have up to the 175 tune. My truck is a g56 manual and my stock clutch is slipping like a ****, which everbody knows the stock clutch is weak. However, if had my new clutch in, I would race you from a stop in my truck if all your raptor had was an intake, pipe, and tune, against my stock intake, straight pipe, and tune. And even though i'm banging my own gears, i'd bet you money in a 1/4 mile you couldn't get your rear bumper past my front doors. A well running fairly stock Cummins or powerjoke or dirtymax is easily underestimated. You might have ~2000 less lbs to lug around, but a hot tune on a box tuner should make twice the torque you do, and about close to 450 at the wheels

Just for poops and giggle, here's a quick vid of my '07 truck. Never should have sold it. It was only tuner, intake/exhaust, built trans. Stock turbo, stock injectors, stock pumps. And that thing was fairly peppy haha

Is it weird that I keep wondering why a strictly Dodge Diesel guy even bothers to have an account on a Raptor forum, much less even troll a Raptor forum?

I belong to a dozen vehicle forums, but they all are vehicles I actually own. I just don't have interest or time to troll what corvette, dodge trucks or Honda civics are blowing each other over, so why are we so interesting to them?

Is it bad that I just don't give a **** what you dodge guys think?

I must say i don't own a raptor mu self
But its the only truck i would love to own
But then again. I don't troll

On a nother note
On subject of diesels and there performance :

Wouldn't a diesel in a raptor be like a good combo?
I already has masses of torque. But loking at the performance of the diesel engines of today. Isn't it a viable option ??

Serieus question. If you look in motorsports diesels are king of endurance
And wouldn't the specs of a good diesel combined with the chassis of the raptor be a baja king as well then ??
