Found this thread searching fummins swaps lol. But I'm surprised the outcome

My buddy had a 2012 cummins long bed base model crew cab 4x4 leveled 3" on 35s, with deletes and tuner he ran like a 14.2

His intake, exhaust, and tune ecoboost xlt 2wd super crew has gone 13.9 but can keep up with my stock mustang 5.0 from 70-120

There is definitely something wrong there.

No offense but with my 6-banger w/ bolt-on's and my X-Charger Xtreme I hit low 12's... If 5.0's are slow enough to have a truck keep up with it, there must be something very good with the truck. I left the racing scene some years ago but I know AM's & C.Rose's stangs can definitely hit 9's and sub-10's last I recall.

I don't know about where you guys all live, but down here there are like 5 really good diesel mod shops that just crank out ridiculous trucks.

On ANY given night at the drag strip, Ill see 4 or 5 "bubba" trucks, lifted with those silly stacks and a ****** pink browning sticker on the back of their windows.

I wanna puke every time I see one on the road, expecting to pull up next to the truck, look over and see a face painted white with a funny little hat and a big red squeaky nose in the drivers seat.

.....but when they consistently are running the 1/4 mile in sub 12 second passes? Is hard to ignore that kind of performance.

Those stangs are also highly modded though hence the times they run, along with yours. Those 4.0 are an animal once you add forced induction(I've been in the 4.0 scene since 2010). My 5.0 is showroom floor bone stock automatic with 2,300 miles on it though. I've seen stock autos range from mid 12s-mid 13s depending on weather, track, and options. Mine would probably be mid 13s, maybe low 13s, in this Texas heat at the local track

Rolls are way different than dig too. I've seen a slower dig car beat the faster dig one in a roll race. I've beat a tune and exhaust LS1 GTO manual from 40 by a fender and a car maybe 2 from a 60 roll for comparison

But his ecoboost is a beast. He let a friend drive it, beat a srt8 6.1(08-10) challenger from a dig up until 40 or 50 and that's with messing up the 1st gear shift and 2 other passengers in the truck

Lot of BS by people who do not know Shi# from Shinola as a properly set up oil burner will leave a gas motor sitting still.

Love the comment about the new oil burner blowing black smoke lol---they do not do that anymore even with a tune.

Be careful---my Cummins would spin in 4wd. With a bigger turbo, tuner, exhaust and modified tranny with a 5 disk TQ, propane etc. it is ugly what you can do to pig gasser snot nose kids trucks... Been there done that!
