Pros: new cars are safer, more reliable, etc. probably helps the kids confidence and it's fun.

Cons, learning nothing about vehicle repairs, maintenance, financial responsibility, or what it's like to work hard and earn something. High performance vehicles might not be a good choice for young drivers.

Also, not sure how well off the OP is but I hope the college funds got topped off to the max before those 8 cars got purchased, otherwise, shame on you.

Good shape with college for both kids!

Nice looking Raptor!

For parenting or financial advice, that would be for a different forum.

Stop flaming the OP guys. If he wants his kids to spend all his money on drugs and prostitutes when he dies then so be it! He is on the right track.

My son is awesome, full of talent, good looks, good grades, absolutely no trouble and very respectful. I'm a single parent and both my kids get everything they want and the best part is they appreciate it and don't brag or show off to make others jealous. He still has his 2014 modded 5.0 mustang GT that I bought him at the end of 2013 and his 2012 BMW S1000RR motorcycle that I tuned on my dyno and makes 186 RWHP which was his 16th birthday gift.

Just curious, does he race bikes or otherwise have a motorcycling background? I assume you ride and are well aware of what an S1000 will do (given that you dyno tuned it). And of course even with their tremendous power, they're one of the safest sportbikes out there...but even with all the electronic nannies, even running ATGATT, that thing is absolute death in the wrong hands, or in the wrong frame of mind.

If he's not already covered, buy him a trip to Keith Code's Superbike School or similar.

My parents considered me to be very respectful/restrained when I was 17, but that doesn't mean I didn't try some incredibly stupid shit with vehicles when no one was watching.

Makes you happy, makes the kids happy and from what you said it doesn't seem like they abuse it by any means. Good for you all! Let the modding begin! Also your son picked the best color for the 5.0!

I work very hard! I don't make either of my kids work. All I want is for them to do well in school and have a good future. It is my job to get them there. Also to enjoy being kids! Therefore I don't mind paying for vehicles, gas and insurance.
My daughter is 19 and she gets a new Mustang each year since 2011. She is in a 2014 now. She is wonderful! Just finished her first year of college studying
Forensics.

My daughter would love a mustang but I can not get it for her, but I would in a heart beat if I could. She is only 14 but is working and saving for one she will someday have one.

That's what it's all about: teaching them the pride in busting your ass and making sacrifices for what they want. I have two Raptors but bought my 15 year old daughter a Nissan Frontier. Why? Because just like when I taught her to ride a bike; I'll give a push to get her going, but I'm not going to pedal for her.
