So sad :( this video was spot on and was supper easy to do. That is till we were trying to move up the blue clip. It would not budge at all and yes I did have out the small set screw. It maybe that there is corrosion or grim under the clip from all the off road trips. We tried using a board and jack to push the clip up and tried to clean around the shock but still no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

Can't you just set a screwdiver up against it and tap it with a hammer?

It's a snap ring if I recall. It's just galled together. Maybe a little WD-40.

We tried that and the wd40. It's not the snap ring it's the blue ring with the "SVT" logo that is over the snap ring.

Oh. In that case I don't know. Maybe hit it with some PB Blaster and let it sit overnight?

Thanks for the video RPG! You saved me $300!

One question: Do you still need an alignment after doing this mod since you didn't remove the shock? Or does it still need to be changed because of the different height?

you don't have to it will just were your tire's faster is it happens to be out. you know how to tell if it's bad let go of the wheel on a flat surfaces if it tracks straight good to go until normal maintenance. If it pulls it should be looked at. It will pull slightly to the right if the road has a good crown. also pay attention to wind as that will push the truck across the plains.
