Did they put in writing that your truck is "too long"? Did letter come from HOA or HOA attorney?
I've been in a few HOA's and I hate them all. It seems they all get on a power trip and do as they please. However, it could also be a fire department regulation enabling a fire truck to reach the upper floors. It is worth it to question where is it written. Even if it is in the HOA rules, you could go to the monthly meeting and just request a waiver, or a designated parking spot that won't interfere with other traffic (like in the corner).
I checked the length difference between an Escalade and a Raptor, and it's about 30 inches, which is a lot. So you may be out of luck with the above suggestions. Personally, I would just accept the top floor and get some exercise. (Then buy a rusted piece of junk and put it into your spot.)
Reading between the lines however, you seem more inclined to buy an Escalade or similar. However, this dealer seems to be giving you a lousy deal. I'd suggest doing a lot more shopping at other dealers. Raptors are still very much in demand. For example, I was at Home Depot when a guy walks up and asks me if that's my Raptor, I proudly say yes. He then says, "I'm a Ford dealer, and I'll give you the MSRP if you sell it to me". It was already a year old with 25K miles.
I said no way!
