Absolutely, the vendors should be.. Unfortunately, even the best moderated discussion on internet forums always ends up becoming a pissing contest between vendors and vendor supporters.

Wish we could have unbiased discussions about products (good/bad/ugly).. Not only would this benefit the customers, potential customers and vendors. By weeding out crappy products, customer service, and magic paint.

Gotcha...

I was attempting to provide some info/input to this thread... I might come off a bit harsh at times, but realistically none of my discussion or points are off target. Unfortunately the powers that be around this place aren't some of my biggest fans.. LOL

IMO this thread seems like a great discussion and hopefully it doesn't get shut down...

Raptor owners should demand it.. These are not cheap play toys (of most of us) to begin with. Then to throw away good money on needless substandard parts, just sucks!

Yes there is, and Raptor owners and vendor potential customers should be asking questions and discussions..

The problem lies with the fact that there are too many ego's around that start shit just to make their penises look bigger and make a sale. While off roading has been around for decades, the Raptor itself is still an emerging market. We (I use this in a collective term meaning us, the owners/users/customers) do not see the majority of the behind the scene backstabbing, slanderous ******** and downright contempt that goes on behind the scenes and has been going on for years. The word is slowly starting to spread to us who have been here the longest and dove head first into off road world. Personally, I do not play the games. I am in the unique position that I do not have to and do not have the patience to deal with the high school ******** that goes on.

So on that note, if anyone wants an opinion from me, ask away. I will give my opinion and experience with a vendor or manufacturer. If I do not have any experience, I will flat out say so. When it comes down to it, I do not have to play the vendors games with getting the moderators/admins of the forums to give me "warnings and threatening to ban me" because in the end, I do not care. Yes, this has happened with a ***** assed vendor everyone here knows. The one's who whine/bitch/talk shit the most are the ones I would avoid just because if they whine/bitch/talk shit that much over what is put on some internet forums, why on earth would I ever want to do business with those idiots? The owners of the businesses should damn well know that how their employees type, conduct themselves on the forums reflects on them and their business. When I catch my employees doing the keyboard cowboy ********, they are fired.

/end rant

So, in short. Ask me a question, get an answer that isn't so filled with technobabble as to be incomprehensible. If I do not know the answer, I will tell you that. I have no stakes in this game and have nothing to gain or lose.

Ok, I volunteer my truck to test all LT kits our vendors offer. I know it will be a sacrifice on my part, but to clear the air I feel it needs to be done.

I assure you that decision came with a hefty price tag.

SPRSNK, I hope you bring that bad boy down the Baja some day so we can go run hard together.

The "real life" equivalent of this thread would be a group of men standing in a circle comparing ***** sizes and bank statements.
