Ordered 8/4 finally received a text today and got a build date 01/29
ETA 02/15.

Saw/stalked one in a parking lot today, even better looking in person than all the pics.

Yep its Gus Johnson. He had told me I should have been second pulled but one of the guys there heard about CF delay suggested I remove it and should get pulled. That was couple months ago. I removed but after 3 weeks of nothing I said screw it add it back in if I'm gonna wait.

Did you get a vin and schedule yet? If so do you have CF? Can't believe Wendle already received 2.

I picked up mine on Friday. My dealer was actually surprised mine came in before some of his earlier orders. He had no idea why. In addition, the first one he received had the bead lock wheels which he thought was causing a delay. I don't think anybody really knows what is going on when it comes to orders. My truck had no CF and no Bead Lock wheels similar to earlier orders not delivered yet.

Cobber,
No, still no VIN, still "unscheduled clean". Not to keep complaining...but this seems maddening, given that I placed my order on July 30th. I do not have carbon fiber or interior color accent package, and was also told by the dealer that these would necessarily delay any orders with them. As many have said throughout this forum, many members seem to know about what the bigger picture looks like over their particular dealers. I've asked Gus Johnson, multiple times, about the beadlock wheel situation, as I have them ordered, and no one knows diddly squat. Yes, it is crazy that dealers, such as Wendle, are receiving units. I actually asked my guy at Gus about this, and he said it's common practice for dealers to order "fake" stock units, labeled as special orders. Anyway, glad to find a "neighbor" Raptor customer. What is Gus telling you? Did they give you any kind of ETA? I'm still being told March, which seems highly improbable, given that I'm not even scheduled yet.

It's not right....No one who ordered in July should still be waiting for delivery, especially still be waiting for a vin & build! I ordered July, built November and still, as of yesterday it is sitting at Raush Industries in Allen Park, MI.

Next time (if there is a next time) I will order from multiple dealers in multiple states and cancel all others once the first one is shipped with an eta.

Not telling me squat either. Originally he told me if I kept the CF then it would be around March. I don't have the beadlocks so that's not holding it up. It is very frustrating when I see people ordering and getting build dates right away and our dealer with 7 allocations hasn't received 1 yet. Wonder who the Ford Rep for the Pacific Northwest is. I also ordered about 2 weeks after you. When I ordered my 13 Raptor thru them it was ordered on Labor day and I got it less than 6 weeks later. So this 5 months still waiting is maddening.

Truck #1 Arrived 1/16. Was built 12.22 and ready to ship at ramp 59 12.26 but think with a flood of retrofits coming avail there was a solid backlog. Orig ETA was Jan2, then that date passed and bumped to Jan17, which stuck.

My sticker showing convoy was in fact true, no rail. The JackCooper pals app updated the week or so prior with dealer delivery location info (still said pending in status). That status did update, and does show delivered. Confirmed via dealer tracking it came on car carrier all the way (Dearborn to Chicago), so PalsApp does work and track if your truck doe come via convoy the whole way

Whole process, just shy of 6 months ;) On another note we were able to kick the **** outta another friends '17 at snoball17 this past weekend, it was amazing. Those awaiting you will be blown away how capable this new truck is

Truck #1
7/21 Ordered
11/7 pulled/VIN Issued...Dec 19 Build week estimated
12/22 Estim Build Date Updated, sticker was avail 12/15
Still on schedule to build this week

#2 of 7 at mid sized urban chicagoland dealer
removed cf sept 1. Mag Scab 802a

A completely reasonable plan of action--ordering from multiple dealers and then cancelling once the first is shipped. I think that may be a method I will need to adopt. I know some have mentioned their concerns with doing such things, namely putting their deposits at risk. However, I would mention two things for those people to consider: Check state laws, as many do not allow dealers to keep respective deposits on undelivered vehicles (this is the case in WA); Most dealers, especially local ones, will not risk a sour relationship to ensue over trying to steal a prospective customer's deposit, principally on a "hot" vehicle in the market that can easily find a new home. Ultimately, of course, I agree with you--having ordered in July, and still in the "unscheduled clean" status is utterly ridiculous.

Hmm....yeah this is ridiculous. Have you spoken with a manager yet? I've always just dealt with my guy, Ron, but perhaps I should step it up and put some pressure on people that are making more % profit than the sales guy. I've been patient with them, as they have been great to deal with. They are, after all, not my local dealer. I am crossing state lines and traveling outside my home zone to give them business. My local Ford dealer just changed hands to a new family (previous owners have been there all my life...35 years), so this could perhaps been the closing of the relationship with Gus Johnson Ford. As many have noted, erroneous to solely blame the dealer for this ugly debacle, however, the dealer plays a role in their innate integrity, or lack thereof, as customers are guided (or not) through the whole process.
So what's your prediction? When do you think you'll take delivery? I think our guess is as good as any at this point...
