Just a quick heads up for those interested if there is another group buy, I spoke to a couple of the guys at Nav-TV over the past while, and it looks like there is going to be a plug and play solution for the 2013 trucks in a month or so.

Hello Chris... I am pretty sure we are going to have a plug and play solution, but I just don't know when. We had the sample and it worked perfect, so I am pretty sure we are in the process to get more...If you have any question about our interface feel free to contact me at any time at 561-955-9770 ext. 101 or email me at [email protected]

Thanks

Hello Chris,

Thank you for your interest in our products.

First, I want to say that even though it does involve cutting 4 (or
5) wires, and tapping into 2 others, the install is actually quite
simple, and I've already had a few customers that were a bit hesitant
about this, and then they told me how easy the actual install turned
out to be...

That having been said, we may have a Plug'n'Play version available in
the next month or so, and if you're really that uneasy about cutting
wires, you may wish to wait.

Thanks,

That was the only thing holding me back from previous GB's, but if this feature is offered on the next one, I'm in for sure. Ill put this in both threads just in case.

I'm in on that too!

What are the differences?
It's not really plug-n-Play if you have to cut wires......

So what's the big differences?

thanks in advance

the plug and play will be a few months out. nav-tv is in the process of moving right now. but the plug and play will be just like the 2012 model units except for a 54 pin plug rather than the standard ford plug. it will save install time, but i dont know if the front camera wire is included in the new harness. it might still need to be cut.

I was wondering is it Really worth that much to wait for the PlugNPlay unit?

Noah - you being the expert and all....what is your opinion on the plug n play versus the cut n splice. Not for the lack of ability or knowledge in doing the install but the possible down-the-line issues with Ford and warranty - would you wait?

If there was not a plug and play option the choice is easy - but now...hmmmmm

BTW - do you ever get to the Washington DC area? LOL

dealerships and manufacturers will blame anything on aftermarket parts if they can find a way to make you believe them. too many incidents of shoddy wiring is what has caused them to do this. we do work for dealerships here local so we dont have that problem, but i cant speak for the rest of the world. with all the units i have installed (raptor or not) over the last 7 years i have worked with nav-tv i have not had an issue. however with the sync it could be a different story. wih the bugs in sync the dealership could possible blame the nav-tv for its failure, although we all know what the problem really is.

thursday or friday will work best next week.
and there is a possibility i will be at the havoc run. if you are there, i might be able to do the install for you.
