I'm popular! Lol one sec.

Hi Mluis11,

Just want to make sure we've checked all of the required settings. Have you done the following:

1. Turn SHOW NOTIFICATIONS on. Go to the Bluetooth settings (on your iPhone) and select the blue "i" to the right of SYNC. Set SHOW NOTIFICATIONS to on.

2. Make sure SHOW ON LOCKED SCREEN is selected. Go to SETTINGS>NOTIFICATIONS>MESSAGES.

3. Make sure DO NOT DISTURB is not turned on. If you swipe your finger from bottom to top, a menu will appear. There is a crescent moon icon. It should not be highlighted.

4. Your phone must be locked when you receive the text. If your phone is not locked, the message will not display on SYNC.

If all of these settings are correct, I suggest resetting SYNC: Master Reset | SYNC Help Video | Official Ford Owner Site

After the reset, you will need to pair your phone with SYNC again. Once the pairing is complete, turn on all the settings I've mentioned above.

Get back to me when you get a chance.

Thanks for the info Shaay. oxfordraptor walked me through all that last night and no luck. Weird thing is for a bit I wasn't getting the error message when I pressed messaging on the sync menu, getting it again now. I'll be doing the master reset when I have time. I'll report back once I do that.

Mluis11,

Awesome! Glad it worked. If you have any other SYNC questions, don't be shy. :)
