For those days off roading in 4x4 reflash the 5star 93perf. That's the beauty of it. They're there.

I got my updated tune today, and I gotta tell you, there IS a difference between the SCT 93 tune and the 5Star 93 tune outside of shift strategy. I am not going to use the "night and day" reference because I think that is a bit of an exaggeration, but it was noticeable. The 5Star tune makes the car feel more "grunty" (is that a word?). Like I have more horses under the hood. Hey, it might be a placebo effect, but is sure feels good. I like it.

I got an edited version with a "softer" shift strategy, and I also like it for the most part. I have contacted Chris to ask for one little tweak - I prefer for the transmission to be able to upshift to 6th gear as low as 40mph. Right now it is holding on until 45mph. The performance tunes hold on to 5th all the way up to 50mph. May seem like a nitpick, but I spend a lot of time in the 40-45mph range in my commute, and it would be nice to coast in 6th gear at that speed.

Other than that nit, I am very, very happy with my 93 tune. The question now is whether I keep it or switch to 87 for the gas savings. Its hard to say whether I am getting any better or worse MPGs right now since I am switching tunes and driving a little bit like a maniac, all in the name of science of course, to test all these tunes you see.... :) But now that I have settled on either a 93 or 87 "soft" tune (I renamed them Cruiser Tunes on my tuner, just because I can :), then now its a matter of driving each of those tunes for 4-5 tankfulls each and see if I can notice any mpg difference. Although I have to say the 93 seems a little "gruntier" than 87, so I may keep it just for that. I mean, it IS a Raptor....

Good to hear and thanks for all your reviewing. I've been paying a lot more attention to my trans since you started this thread. I'm looking forward to the "aggressive" shift strategy. It's really annoying when I drive out of my neighborhood at 20mph and am already in 4th gear.

Not to mention the sheer obnoxiousness of catless longtubes into an MBRP turndown doing 3000rpm at 0600 every morning.

That's what's awesome about these tunes. They let you choose a strategy that suits your taste. I love having a choice.

I received my customized tune today. A 93 performance tune with a softer shift strategy and goes into 6th gear as low as 40mph if I'm going slow or coasting.

I love it.

It's great to be able to get what you want. I like that it seems to go into sixth a lot faster if I'm light on the accelerator, but if I'm giving it more gas it holds on to lower gears longer as it should. I really like how smooth it shifts.

Now to decide between this and the 93 economy tune...

I tried the 93 economy tune today. I am liking the shift strategy a lot because it's smooth and up shifts quickly. I'm feeling a little less growl, but the acceleration is plenty strong. I haven't gone WOT yet so I've only driven it "normally". I started another thread to ask about the differences between tunes. Based on my personal preference, I think I'm leaning towards an economy or "soft" tune, so I need to understand the role octane plays to decide 93 or 87.

So I tuned mine today with 5star 93 perf, Corsa CAI only. I wouldn't say it's a night and day difference, but I will wait until more miles are logged to pass final judgement.

I had to unlock my own speedo. Will get out on the autobahn later to test it out. Anyone else play with all the option's? (shifts, revs, etc)

Also, I noticed that when changing menus in the dash, it goes from submenu, main menu, and then I have to choose which submenu I want. I used to be able to scroll straight through to what I want using up or down.

Macf, just be careful you do not want to do 135+ for too long unless you've upgraded the driveshaft and be careful of the tire rating.
While I've done 135+ plenty of times, it's only for a short distance.

I've been told the wind tunnel test on the Raptor stopped at 155 mph because the front tires left the ground.
So keep that in mind also, steering gets real light at 135.

Wouldn't want to hear anything bad happen to you.
