There are Ford Dealerships searching for MSRP deals as well. The Ford Dealership told me they snatch up Raptors at MSRP and then add about $7500 to $10K ADM and resale them.
They offered me the outstanding "deal" of $7.5K ADM rather than their normal $10k ADM, they thought I would jump at the price, they were sorely wrong.
This is the dealership that calls themselves the Home of Mr. Nobody, cause nobody can beat their deals!

I'm a long time lurker as I've been looking to purchase a Raptor since the gen 2's came out and this has been my experience since I'm getting serious about buying one soon. There's a dealership in Vegas that has 12 2019's that they bought from out of state with a $10K ADM. Cars.com was showing them at a $5K ADM, so I thought they'd play ball. When I was there, they made it sound like they were doing me a favor by bringing it down to MSRP. They wouldn't budge at all, so now my search is going out of state.

Just bought my 2019 at invoice from holiday ford in fond du lac, WI. Salesman Robby has dealt with a lot of out of state people he said. It was a 1.5 drive for me but so worth it. Not affiliated or anything just trying to help out.

Yep. And yet there are people posting all over these forums of deals that are at and below invoice on 19s. Not saying it isn't so, but sure seems strange. Most of the posts on the "super" deals are members with fewer than 10 posts. Not many "seasoned" members quoting these deals.

Interesting.

To be fair, not many seasoned members are active in the market for a new truck :)

I guess I was referring to the members who posted that their costs were at or around MSRP seemed to have post counts much higher than 10 or so. Again, not saying big discounts don't happen. I am sure there are some out there. I know I searched pretty diligently and MSRP was it on my 18. Called many dealers here in Colorado and it was futile. Maybe I was not demanding enough. LOL.

When I was in the market for my 2017 802A getting one for MSRP was a long shot and getting one below MSRP was not possible. But that was summer of 2017 when Gen 2's just came out. I didnt expect to be able to buy one but I just happened to come across a good deal in Tri Cities, TN while I was there visiting family. A guy from Texas had the one Raptor they had held with a deposit. He was going to fly up to buy it at $10k ADM. Then I went by the dealer the next weekend to look at a Used Gen 1 but it already had sold. But they told me their new Raptor was available again because the Texas guy cancelled. I got it for MSRP! Luck and timing. It is a fully loaded White 802A that Grindstaff Ford had brought in for the local new car show in town.

Keep looking. Nobody should have to pay $10k to $20k over MSRP! If nobody does then the Dealers will stop doing it. But it seems that the Dealers in the large Metro areas always find people willing to pay huge ADM's. I was still living in Honolulu at the time. Kailua Ford had a Blue 802A which was the color I wanted. They were asking $20k ADM! I laughed and told him they were crazy. He cockily said "we'll get it"!

Mine is white which is a good color for the desert in the summer heat. Still love that Lightning Blue! Maybe my 2020 V8 will be that color....

askjorgelopez at Tomball Ford in Tomball TX

He is all over Instagram and I contacted him when my dealership for my 3 previous truck purchases, Galpin Ford, wanted $25,000 over MSRP for a 2019 Raptor here in California. I had him all set to place an order when my dealership got me approval at msrp. He was very accommodating and understanding, as he sells a LOT of Raptors.

There are deals out there, just need to search in certain regions that won't sustain an ADM, sounds like the south and west coast are tougher markets to get deals in. Keep in mind a lot of low post new people also join the forums because they just got their new truck, and if they did get it for a deal, they are more likely to post about said deal.

Completely understand how seasoned veterans on this forum may have their radar up on us that have few posts.
This happens on the F150 forum when I was on there. I think it’s understandable for in my case...
1.) Never had a Raptor.
2.) Currently don’t have one to mod, or ask a lot of questions about or give advice on.
3.) Just learning so a few qualifying posts.
4.) Wanted to buy one.
5.) Did my homework, a lot was from right here.
6.) Made a fair offer and it was accepted
($500 over invoice).
7.) Wanted to pay back those on here who helped guide me by reporting back.

When I ordered today, was told the market is flooded with Raptor’s right now. They make money when they move them and on such a high price truck they can’t afford to sit on them.

Point taken. Not arguing the fact that deals can not be found. Just not as prevalent as some tend to believe. Yes the internet is a great tool, but that same tool is not without fault. Many lost leaders out there.
