My dealer told me the same thing. He said they had to provide a name with any orders. I had to sign a order sheet.

Same, my dealer charged my CC for the deposit that day.

See and that's the conclusion I came to after I reordered. The new dealers sales manager flat out told me "I need you to sign this purchase order and a copy of your drivers license for our ordering rep, We can't even order one of these trucks unless it is for a customer and we need that as proof." That being said I had to provide the exact same things to the previous guys including a CC number for deposit, they just didn't charge it. So this may have been the plan all along and the screaming match on the phone was most likely to make me feel like it was my fault so I would just drop out of the order.

Good news! (we really need a J. Clarkson dacia sundaro smiley) I got a call from my local dealer today and they have informed me that they have been given allocation for my order and it is now just a waiting game. At the same time he gave me invoice pricing to add the hood graphics so double yay today.:rockit: Looks like back to the waiting game.

Congratulations. Waiting is not so bad, I waited 8 months, only because my first dealer ordered too many, and the truck wasn't going to happen. So I canceled reordered new dealer and it took less than 4 months. But it all goes fast. "Life goes Fast".

The more I hear about this it sounds like they were out to screw you all along. Not only did I leave a deposit and sign a sale sheet. I also had to sign a waiver that I wasn't going to send it to Canada and send in a copy of my DL. Good luck man!

I would at least file a claim with the BBB. If they have done this to you, most likely have done it to others.

Yea I'm going to contact BBB and the owners of the dealership. Not likely the owners will care but this isn't their first BBB complaint about something like this. Someone bought a mustang and they sold it out from under them before they could pick it up. Sadly when I ordered mine this complaint hadn't been filed yet.

Columbine ford is a bunch of ******. When I went in the salesman helping me sat down and started eating a sandwich not even really listening to me. I asked if they would sell at msrp and he said no we mark every raptor up because we know they will sell. There is lots of oilfield dudes around there. All in all the experiance was pretty ******. I ended up getting a 2011 with 20k miles for 45 grand at western slope ford in grand junction. Western slope also said be it a raptor or gt500 they will not mark any vehicle up. Very friendly people too.

When I ordered my 2013, Columbine told me that they would mark it up because "they're popular and hard to come by" and I said "Not a chance, have a nice day" and started to walk out the door. Then they changed their tune once I explained that there was no way in hell that I was even going to pay MSRP for it. I visited all the area dealerships and Columbine was the first that offered below sticker, I think mostly because I cajoled them about it and pointed to all the business that my family and friends have done there. But again, this was in the summer of 2012, before they sold out to the ******** from Denver.

Western Slope also offered me MSRP, but didn't want to move on price. Since I had no prior relationship with the sales people there, I didn't have much leverage other than telling them "I'm going around to all the dealerships and whoever gives me a better price is going to get the business".

Short situation update: New truck build day 1/12/14 :win: Not going to start singing the praises of the new dealership until I have the keys in my hand and pen to paper:deal:..... still a little gunshy even if they have been awesome about all this.
Also in other news after a BBB complaint I finally received a check from Columbine Ford for my airfare I put out. I got the feeling from the conversation I had with the GM/Owner that he had been lied to about what actually happened.
