Same same. Dealer massively overfilled. No issue until I was running 80mph, overheated, trans fluid all over the underside, burning oil smell, took it to a different local dealer as was out of town, he sucked out another half? gallon and only then was it here, at apparently the right level ‘B’.

Damage was done by that point. Trans lasted another 500 miles, then 5 and 7 would ‘slip’. Original dealer took full responsibility, rebuilt the transmission, tech noted on the ticket ‘parts were blue, badly overheated’

Did you take it to a dealer or a random shop?
It is back at the Ford dealership now. Of course, the service department said "I know we put the right amount of fluid in it"

I got a call on day three saying that they want to change the filter and pan gasket as they found it leaking (Face palm)

Then got a call today (day 5) saying that they measured the level and it is 3.5 quarts low. I asked how this could be as it was just services by them 100 miles ago. He told me that "These transmissions rarely last 100K miles without issues" I am beyond livid but letting this play out and then bringing in the dealership management team when they try to stick me with a transmission rebuild

little update | Got a call today that they drained all the old fluid out and everything looked fine. They want to drop the transmission pan and replace filter and gasket now and test drive it. Should hear back by weds on any finding in the pan

So I got the truck back a few days ago. Dealership replaced the transmission pan and filter and added "The correct" amount of fluid. Charged me 1500 for that which I am fighting. I also looked at Ford's website and added my vin and it never points out to flush the transmission fluid at 100K like the dealership suggested. So I am trying to get a full refund for this service that was never needed in the first place. We will see how this turns out.....

Moral of the story for all you raptor owners. Do not flush the transmission unless it is a last resort to try to resolve an issue. If no issues, let it right and just check the fluid levels at maintenance intervals

UPDATE | So I got the truck back and it seems to be fine now thankfully. The dealership added ATF and replaced the pan and filter. I was also able to get 1K refund. Even though it wasn't a lot, it is better than nothing. I will keep an eye out on the transmission and update if there is anything else to report. So the culprit was the fluid being 3.5 quarts low.
