PCM. In the other thread they found that they could not get a Hi-Lock TOD to function on a Gen 1.
While you're here and we're on this topic, I've got a 2014 Screw that is positive for this recall. The ford site says 'recall incomplete' with the yellow triangle. My truck shifts fantastic especially after loading a 5 Star 91 octane performance tune, which definitely improved the shifting. Does this mean I've got to reflash it back to stock, take it in, get the recall program installed, and then when I put the 5 Star tune back in there I'll be overwriting the recall update? What would you recommend doing if my truck, 138k miles, runs and shifts great, no CEL.

The rule of thumb has always been that you need to put the stock tune on the truck before you go to the dealer. If you don't and the dealer makes a programing change to the truck you will get locked out of your tuner. The tune you have only changes certain tables in the programing not the entire thing.

Showed up as a CSP for my 2014 screw, When entering the vin. It is described as a lead frame extended coverage 19N01. Is this lead frame replacement or the software update? Says no open recalls BTW.

Yes, it will need to be reflashed to stock and you’ll need to contact your tuner afterward to have the calibration updated on their end.

Letters from ford about the recall are supposed to be sent out in July is what I read in main stream media.

I did mine last week, only took about an hour. According to my odometer, I got 692 mile to go on a half tank of fuel. It also fixed my puddle and cargo light issues. also plugged my pedal commander back in with no issues. woohoo

Just left the dealership, they said it’s a quick update. So I will be doing my transmission filter and fluid change after all.

So my 2014 Raptor went in for the recall service this at 8am. At 5pm, I call to find out the status. Get the run around for a bit. Finally go down there (dealership less than 10min away). They tell me its still updating and should be done by 6. Get a call from the service mgr at 5:45 saying it's done. But asks if the ABS light was on before it was brought in. I tell him it's never come on and I'm the original owner. He asks if they can hold it til tomorrow to check out what the issue is with the ABS. Anybody else have an issue with this new recall software update?

UPDATE: So I got a call this morning a little before 8 from the Service rep I had been dealing with. He tells me the truck is good. The dash warnings after the update were common and cleared after cycling the truck a couple of times. Truck was returned to me before 9am. My assessment of the entire situation is that the service tech probably didn't start the update until I called about it after 5pm. Service rep asked him status. He tells him that its going but taking longer than expected. Less than an hour later it's done. The service mgr (the rep had left for the day) calls me about the warning lights, not realizing they just needed to be cleared. Service rep comes in the following am and clears everything up. Truck seems to be all good after a few test drives.
