i mean... Ford also showed their all electric F150 pulling 1,000,000 lbs. you’re telling me that if someone is dumb enough to attempt it and it breaks, it’s on Ford?


I’m not trying to tell you anything. But I will play along, why show it then? And with our society where a coffee cup not labeled hot can result in a lawsuit, where is the responsibility?

Theres a sticker on the door jamb. It’s your responsibility to read it. How much responsibility do you want spoon fed to people? Let’s continue to play along. At what point do you think people should be responsible for their actions? Let’s say someone can’t afford their payment? You want to off load that responsibility to the bank for issuing the loan?

Why show murder in movies? Or any crime for that matter. I mean you seem to be implying if you replicate what you see on TV, whomever produced what you watched should be responsible. Exactly how far would you like society to get dumbed down to?

Fox aftermarket is not Ford OE; completely different entity. Ford engineering specs the shocks, Fox builds them. Fox is free to sell shocks in the aftermarket as they wish, that doesn't mean they meet Ford engineering standards or pass Ford OE testing. Your example is equivalent to saying if my factory fuel injectors are made by Bosch, and I bought aftermarket Bosch high flow injectors, I should have no issues because it's still Bosch. Doesn't work that way.

The guy claims he had "front end issues" before the mods; the guy is a liar. Nobody in their right mind has a warrantable issue, modifies it to make it worse, and then brings it in for warranty work. That's like saying you have an engine knock, so you installed a supercharger and then it got worse so you brought it in for service. Complete ********. The dude in question is a hack and has a history of buybacks, or at least attempted buybacks. Due to CA law, people like him are able to work the system, which enables him to modify and abuse vehicles and then request his money back at the expense of the manufacturer and every other consumer. It's calling gaming the system, and he's clearly profiting quite well from his videos. The dealer screwed up by ever touching his truck in the first place, but that doesn't excuse the fact that he's committed warranty fraud.

It's a plain and simple case of fraud; buy an expensive truck, modify and destroy it, bring it to the dealer multiple times claiming a defect, collect repair orders, and then request that the OE buy it back under CA "lemon" law. I hope he goes down with his own ship.

Software has bugs, products have issues. Before judging or blaming the consumer for the issue (typical Ford attitude, by the way), why not find the root cause first and after that make the call?

You haven't seen dudes truck, you don't know if there is a manufacturing defect.

By your logic, people should buy their Raptor, wrap it in protective film, and drive only to the grocery store and back to keep warranty intact. Nonsense.

Whether the issue is warranty or not depends on the issue. Plain and simple.

I assume you mean the sucker on the door jamb telling you GVWR/GCVWR/Payload? Yes I agree they set the limits for that use case. GM offers track coverage for some corvettes and camaros. I was simply asking a thought provoking question of how much is too much?

I think you may have taken my McDonald’s coffee cup thing the wrong way. I do not think the companies, banks, movies, or games responsible for the things you mentioned. The point I was trying to get across was in a sue happy environment we live in, it seems a little reckless.

I would imagine that the “towing” example you mentioned probably had a disclaimer of do not attempt on the commercial and I am pretty sure the raptor comes with a supplement on how to properly jump your truck.

Also make no mistake, I do not have warranty on my truck, I am not advocating he gets anything covered by warranty. I just like to ask thought provoking questions.

Your need to sensationalize so much makes me think FordTechOne isn’t the person who needs helps thinking logically....

Starting a post with an insult is a sign that you're not really trying to have a conversation, but I'll address this comment anyway. I should probably let @FordTechOne do it, but why should he have all the fun. :) FTO IS thinking logically. You are not. You're taking things to a ridiculous extreme and then trying to make them look ridiculous. A standard debate trick, but you lose important context.

Why? The problem only appears to happen on modified trucks. Not one single person has demonstrated the problem on a stock vehicle. It hasn't shown up at RA with newbie drivers beating randomly on the trucks. Why should Ford spend a single minute worrying about it? Until there is evidence otherwise, the root cause appears to be modification. Yes, there are lots of trucks with springs not having the problem, so it's likely some combination of modification and certain operating parameters. Not everyone goes off road and not everyone has the same skill when they do.

That's right, no one knows. But looking at the evidence and using logic, which you really should learn to use better, points to modification being the root cause. The burden is on the modder to prove otherwise.

Nonsense indeed. You've seen the official policy over and over again. Why are you distorting it so badly? It's not helping your case. I'll state it again so that you don't have to search for it. If you make a modification and that modification could have caused the problem you're seeing, Ford may reject your warranty claim. They might, they might not, but they can.

That's stupid. Plain and simple. I put 40s on my truck and have this issue. How exactly is that warranty? And if it is, what if I put 50s on it? Earth mover tires? A fricken JATO rocket on the rack? Is it still warranty?

Boy FRF has changed. His raptor isn’t that modified yet folks here are saying its heavily modified. He did the rear end. The stock GEN2 rearend absolutely sucks when off-roading and needs an upgrade. I personally wouldn’t run 37’s after I switched on my GEN1 but a lot of folks do and run it. You say he beats on his truck, he does not watching his videos. They mark the trails, know the limitations of the truck and slow down as needed.

There seems to be something wrong with the EPAS steering under certain conditions and hopefully Ford gets to the bottom of it.
