That is a lot of backspace for this truck so I would say that you should get it. You can surely survive without it. Also depends on what tires you plan to run. If you are going with an all-terrain you will be much better off than with a Mud Terrain Tire. Even with an RPG you will likely still rub at full lock under compression. I still rub ever so slightly and I am running 35x12.50 Toyo M/T's on 20x9 +1mm Offset.

The 1.5" RPG Collars will give you about 1" of Rake and I think this little rake looks perfect.

I'm running 4.5" bs -3 offset with 37x12.5 tires and 1.5" collars and I rub on sharp turns (gonna try to trim a little more) and at full compression. Even after jumping it I still have my fender liners.

With the 5 stock wheels and tires and 2 spare 37s in the back I had a little gangsta lean.

Do you rub in the back fenders? KentSD said he had some rubbing in the metal fender walls running 37's.

Thanks for the help - I'm going to run Nitto trail grapplers. I'm a little worried now that I'll rub, but I guess I'm going to take my chances as see how bad it is.

Hey guys,

I have 22" HRE's with 37" tires and my truck rubbed also with the 1.5 RPG collar. I moved to the larger, 3" collar and it is perfect now. Looks more level to me now also. Just thought that I would pass that along.

Good to hear. I plan on switching to 3" collars as well when I do leaf springs.

I have 1.5" Collars now and my truck looks good... do 3" collars level it exaclty or leave it nose up with a factory front end?

Figured if I ever put a heavy bumper/lights/winch I would do 3" but just curious.

I'd say only do 3" collars if you're doing the bumper, lights, and winch or leaf springs to raise the rear as well. That's what I will be doing. Otherwise any load in your bed would give you a gansta lean pretty easily. If you want it dead level, SDHQ said 1.5" collars and drop shackles make it sit perfect. But if it's perfectly level unloaded, any weight in your bed will put you nose high.

The RPG 1.5" is ok. I initially got them to fit 37s, but the Nittos still rub a little after trimming. The small rake is not bothering me as I would prefer that than squatting badly with a load. But definitely will not go RPG 3" because even though I would clear rubbing, any load would look awful. Pros and cons... And no, cant lift rear to go with 3" because I barely fit in the parking garage now..
