Ford was able to delete the auto start stop on my truck even though I had a VIN.
Yes, from anecdotal information here, VIN doesn't seem to be the point where you can't change as previously thought. Several removed stop/start after they had a VIN. I had a VIN, but it was too late for my build. I would imagine how close you are to production matters more than if you have a VIN issued.

If you already have a vin can they delete the auto start stop?
I ordered mine when the banks opened up in June. It wasn't an option and the dealer never asked. But my window sticker says it's deleted. Changed about a week ago.

Same here, mine was a stock order. I think if it’s a stock order it automatically got it removed.
