I know two guys that both put there truck through the paces up here in Michigan. One has the foxes. One has the Icons. I've never heard a complaint about either of them. Don't know anyone with Kings though(even though no one seems to talk about them anymore). Maybe Netix will chime in?

I will make my normal non-biased comments..

During the snoball 500 even with my Raptor ass sagging.. The Icon performed wonderfully..

Fast forward to TRR2013, Icons still were functioning as designed.. Until I decided to try and adjust the compression on the rear shocks..

All four of my adjusters were frozen solid, and even with a pair of channel locks was unable to turn them.

I have sprayed them with WD40 to pb blaster trying to free them...

June 3rd during the Bullrun, I spent several hours trying to loosen them, broke an allen wrench trying to take off adjuster covers, stripped set screw off in another. And finally getting pissed I ripped off all the knurling off of one..

Not once was I able to get the damn things to budge..

This is in no way bashing ICON and their design (they are west coast guys) not used to the shit us midwesterners put our vehicles through..

The adjusters need to be sealed better so salt, water, mud and muck do not get into them.. The adjusters are a huge selling point of ICON shocks (at least to me and my fairytail cross country road trips). Not being able to use them, and being stuck with one setting defeats the purpose of that selling point.

Hopefully, ICON has already come up with a solution, because I know I was not the only one and they are aware of the issue (points at kankary)..

I only keep the Rebound knob on. Its the only one that really gets adjusted. The two compression settings I don't really touch as I have them dialed in pretty good.

But yes the knobs get stuff built up in them. But if you remove them and just use a allen wrench the few times you adjust compression then you should have no issues.

Fox Shox have proven to be the hands down most winning shock in the sport of offroad racing and Raptors are derrived from a race heritage. Why choose anything less? #whatareicons
