GEN 1 I expect Gen 1 Raptors to hold their value or maybe even tick up with the new Raptor

if i wanted a 10 speed, i would have bought a schwinn.

10 speeds. cause its really necessary. need to mash the gas while in 10th and have it skip 7 gears into 3rd. thats gotta be rough

Maybe its a combination of factors including your location? The market for a Raptor is only finite. I am sure if you lived in a more appealing market for it then you would have better luck. Hell I was offered 32 grand by a dealer ship for mine with 70 thousand miles on it just a few months ago. They would sell it for 36 ish I am sure. I would take it to Autotrader where you will hit a lot more people and get more exposure.

I completely agree. I was surprised though at the lack of inquiries even. We'll see how it plays out.

didnt they just do a comparison on gas mileage? and there wasnt much difference? they really need 4 gears to gain 2mpg? why not just regear 6th instead? but, im no engineer so i know nothing.

In your area but come to Arkansas your truck would sell for 30 grand in one day here. It is too cold up North for me and you don't have the need as much for what the Raptor can do. Go to a good southern state and the Priuses disappear as the Raptors reappear. I have been to the Ohio Indianapolis rust belt of decay never ever to return.

I've had offers north of 30k. Just not very motivated to sell.

I drove within means today and got 15.6 mpg. **** those TTV6's. They'll burn twice the gas just trying to keep up with the V8! LOL

Anyway, to the point of the OP - I'm sure the prices will go down someday. Probably not this year, and probably not much next year. I hope they hold forever!!!!

The 1st gens are holding resale value remarkably well.
But I believe they have reached a plateau.
Inkman, a supporting member on the board, is selling a like new 2014 Screw with approx. 4k miles on the clock.
This truck is pristine and is up for grabs at $57K.
I'm still in disbelief that he hasn't sold it yet.

I really don't see prices coming down until the new Raptor is readily available. So figure next fall.

Same. If I wasn't property shopping and hadn't just built my truck I would buy that one to store away somewhere. Beautiful truck with all the right options. Can't believe it hasn't sold.
