How much y'all putting down for deposit

Bout to order one (at msrp) but they want $5000 non refundable down. I think it's a bit much. Not like I'm ordering an odd vehicle. I would just hate for some unforeseen circumstance and be out 5k. I think 1 or 2k should be enough...thoughts?

1K and I agree with you. 1K is enough to signal you are serious.

I put down $500 which I though was low. my last Raptor different dealer was $1000.

On my original order with Louisburg = $1,000 .... Once order was cancelled like everyone elses, it was refunded.

New Dealer = $2,500 .... There is nothing in writing calling it "non-refundable" nor was it even talked about. I simply asked what the deposit was and that is what they told me & what was charged.

Highest I ever put was 5K for a Shelby, but I knew I was buying it no matter what..and times were much better..had more money, a little younger, etc. Personally, I would probably max out at 2500 for this, not that it is any lesser, just I wouldn't pay more than that for just about any vehicle to reserve/order these days.

^^^ What @RaptorScrew said. Anyone who puts 'money down' is being fleeced. Honest dealers don't need extra money right now. The one's that are demanding it - run away!!!
