Figured I should properly introduce myself even though I've already stared another thread.

Im from Bourbonnais, Il, (hour south of chicago) born and raised here. Raised around all sorts of motorsports, so driving comes first nature to me (better than my social skills my family says lol).

Looking to order a 2012 blue Screw (only plus pkg., blue accent, and bed extender,) in the springtime after I sell 2 of my other cars. As I said in my other thread I was pretty much raised in the sand dunes of Silver Lake, MI, so I can't wait to run the raptor up there.

Im also quite good mechanicaly. Like I said I was raised around motors, started out working on my dads vw powered sand buggys, working on my uncles sprint cars (3!), I've had several street project cars of my own, latest being a 88'Honda crx track car (still street legal) with a built b16 motor, lot of fun. Put together my dads 67' Shelby cobra w/ roush 427 (550hp&trq) from Superformance.

Our latest sand toy is a Extreme performance long travel buggy w/ a twin turbo LS1 pushing 800hp and 24" of travel.
I also run a yfz450 up there as well.

Other cars I've worked through completion (either mine or friends):
95'nissan silvia s14 with built sr20det (450hp)
Nissan 240sx s15 with built rb26dett skyline motor swap (750hp)
01' dodge Dakota r/t w/5.9 (lil bit of motor work)
Plenty more but you get the idea lol

Now that I've murdered everybody eyeballs, hi!

Will post pics by request....

Welcome. I just got my raptor friday and hit a deer on saturday. Im a couple hours south of you in Peoria. Nice to hear you have a sand rail. I usually take mine to buggyworks in Martinsville IN for work. Are there any shops that you know of in Illinois or are you interested in takin a look. Mine just doesnt seem to be runnin right and I cant figure it out. Also if you find anyone up there to do the perch adjustment mod I need someone for that too.

Yea I read that thread troy, sorry to hear that, that's a nightmare! As far as shops around here I don't really know of any, we normally do our own work, and when we don't we have a mechanic friend that has a big garage in aroma park that's also into sandrails. I wouldn't mind looking at it but your a bit far lol. Tell me some details of what you got and what s goin on with it, might be able to help.

Far as the perch mod, I was planning on doing it myself, but if you want a shop to do it, the same guy I mentioned before would most likely be interested as well, hes very reasonable.

We are also in partnership with Whitehills Buggy Shop in Hart, MI by silver lake. But that's mostly fabrication.

Welcome aboard Wreckless...I'm in Channahon...Illinois folks are representing big time...And feeling kinda bad for Troy but odds are now that he got his one accident out of the way the next 20 years should be accident free...I'm already looking at an ADD bumper just in case one of those deer or rabid mailboxes jumps out at me
