Great daily/long haul driver so far and the most comfortable vehicle I have ever driven, hands down.
17-20 MPG below 80, if you can do that...
Yesterday's "daily drive" proved its total bang for buck value: Grandkids both with AirPods in, one plugged into front Apple CarPlay and groceries in rear seat/cab with LOTS of room leftover cruising in quiet and comfort at 80 in traffic feeling like King Kong swatting helicopters!

In comparison, My previous Tacoma amassed
160K in 10 yrs as a great daily driver, got nearly the same MPG as The Beast and required a chiropractic visit for any trip over 2hours.

Since "The Beast" arrived, the trusty "Taco" has a thick coat of dust!
Happy Wife, happy life!

Amigo, 4500 miles since taking delivery on 8/26. Amazing vehicle for daily driving. Getting back into my 5 series feels so off after driving the Raptor regularly. Nothing wrong with the 5 series, but the all-in-one capabilities of the Raptor, the power/speed, and spaciousness of the interior is essentially unmatched both in and out of this segment. Plus feeling like an overjoyed kid every time I look at it is always a plus haha.

Ride quality: On par if not much better than the 5 series that’s for sure. Handling in sport mode is surprisingly good, only a bit of initial “squish” from the tires but it feels like it tracks. Try it out on curved on/off ramps.

Cabin noise: almost not there.

Sound system: B&O sound system is pretty darn good and have no complaints. Not as good as the 15 speaker HK in the 5 series but I’ve never had a moment where I was even remotely close to unhappy with the audio quality.

Seats: Non-Recaro*, leather is great and seats are perfect. Love ventilated seats!

Storage: basically enough to pack an entire apartment. You can’t find enough to fill this thing.

Adaptive cruise control with stop and go: This is honestly amazing. It’s not quite like the systems in the S class and other luxury cars, but rather fits more with the aggressive overall ethos of the vehicle. I love it.

Ford Pass App: can schedule vehicle starts. Using this way more than I thought I would. Also other little things like oil life, scheduling service appointments, fuel level, etc.

Fuel economy: gets better as you drive it from new... also maybe better after putting on a tonneau cover to. I’ve been between 16.7-17.3 since installing the cover. Full tank can yield you over 600 miles going 70-75.

Joy factor: unmatched. The only other vehicle I’ve felt this level of excitement driving, getting in/out of, and walking up to/away from is the Porsche 911. End of story.

For anyone who has managed to get to the end of my rambling: go buy a Raptor now. I recommend a Magnetic 802A SCREW :). Might be one of, if not the best daily out there. Go from the office up a mountain and back in the same day.

One of my favorite daily drivers ever. I average 18-20k miles a year. Just buy the longest factory warranty you can (150k I think) and don't worry about it.

i’ll probably end up putting 25000 miles per year on the truck via just work driving alone

is the raptor a good daily driver? reliable enough to sustain that kind of mileage?

thanks

Just to keep the positive vibes going, I daily drive mine, 40-60 miles a day city transitioning to highway. I honestly don't like getting out of it. It's so much fun to drive and while I'm not getting 18-19 MPG, I hover pretty solid around 17.1 MPG, which is pretty good for my fair blend of city/highway.

I drive mine every day. On days where I have to drive a little more for work, my wife often says, "You should take my car!" I say, "Why the hell would I do that?" Her's gets way more miles per gallon, but mine gets WAY more smiles per gallon.

Everyday I drive it, I either say out loud or in my head, "I LOVE this truck." EVERYDAY.

Afterthought edit:
I really am concerned about how much more this forum is going to blow-up once Crazy911 gets his. Without one, he is averaging around 15 posts per day with no days off. I set the over/under at 25.5.

The work production of Raptor owners is going to go way down trying to keep up. Haha! (BTW, his ****** video is an instant classic - well done).

Absolutely love it as a daily driver. If you can afford the gas (not much more than a standard truck) it’s totally worth it especially if you get the high end package with creature comforts like heated/cooled seats. Already put 14000 miles on mine (Gen2) in less than a year including several road trips without issue. Super comfortable ride with the fox suspension and you’re king of the road with the size and speed of the truck. Only “negative” I would say if I had to pick one is road noise from the off-road sized tires you don’t notice as soon as the radio on.

I DD mine at 30k a year. 105k on my 17 raptor currently. Most comfortable DD Ive owned. Not the best mileage on 37s tho. no major issue besides a recent water pump replacement.

Not to worry. Reality seldom holds up to fantasy. Once he gets it, it's not a fantasy any more and I predict that his posting will decrease. I do have to say that I've never seen anyone milk a fantasy as well as Crazy.
