Geiser vs Eibach vs Collar

I’m on Geiser springs running 37” tires mounted on 0 deg offset method bead lock wheels. Trimming of seam on firewall and fenders are required if you use truck for intended purpose.

Wfo, did you ever have any initial noise from the spring after installing them. I’ve got about 1700miles on my Geisers and since day 1, they’ve had a TWANG to them after speed bumps going 5-15mph. Curious if it’s just me or maybe until they’re “worked in,” it’ll go away.

NICE...I bet I got a bad set then, super bummed. Love the height and everything just hate the TWANG lol.

Well I’ll give it a few thousand miles more then it’ll be off to Eibachs or SVC CAS. Super bummed.

I have been running Eibachs on the front. They gave me that 1.7” height increase and got me dead level. The springs never settled either. If they did, it was not measurable.

I have seen 2-3 guys including @Loctite with the dreading squatted truck after the Eibachs were installed. It doesn’t seem to be the norm and can’t imagine a particular truck to be that out of spec or were they not installed correctly or may the shocks be locked out some. Ride height reset is a must, many of us eventually found out on the 19s and 20’s.


Thanks in advance for your insight. I am about to have eibachs put on my front as well as Deaver +3HD on the back. Can you explain to me the ride height reset? What is it? why is it important? and most importantly how do I do it? Sorry for the question if it is ignorant, I am new at all this and want to make sure it is done right.

If you have a 2019+ with the Live Valve shocks, you need to have a dealer or someone with access to IDS to do a VDM recalibration. This resets the shocks to think they are now level. If you don't do this, the shocks will think they are extended and can worsen the ride.

If you have a 2019+ with the Live Valve shocks, you need to have a dealer or someone with access to IDS to do a VDM recalibration. This resets the shocks to think they are now level. If you don't do this, the shocks will think they are extended and can worsen the ride.

Will the dealers know to do this or is this something i need to explain to them...sometimes these dont understand these things

Most dealers haven't done this before so anything you can provide may help them. Someone made a document not long ago that may be worth showing to the dealership. You don't have to go to a dealer though, just need someone with IDS.. local mechanic, off road shop, etc..

BTW I reached out to Forscan to see if they could add this routine. Probably won't be quick, but if we can get it added it would make things much easier

This is the first time I've heard of this. I did my Eibachs / Deaver +3 installs last summer, ride quality has firmed up a fair bit but not crazy. If I'm honest I could do with the overall ride quality being a hair plusher than now. I guess the next time I head to the dealer for an oil change I'll ask them to perform the calibration.

I would love to hear from someone who has actually done the recalibration and what the before / after experience was.
