Connor is a personal friend and I caN promise you his 1st priority is safety . it's not a business for him if ANYONE gets hurt... he oversees some cool shit and glad to see that once again his products and his shop use it for the purpose it was built.... rebuild and have fun again.

As some of you have heard I had what you may call an “incident” in my truck last week. I will not go into detail at this time as to what happened. However, I will share the resulting damage and what I learned from this.

I went off a county maintained dirt road at a very low speed. The problem was it was about a 60 foot embankment covered with large boulders and the truck rolled three times before coming to rest on its wheels. My passenger and I both walked away from this with very minor scratches and a little soreness. I have to thank Connor and Marvin at Outlaw for their quality work on the roll cage and other safety gear that has been installed in the truck. Without it the outcome would have been much different.

Now for some of what I have learned.

I have always heard that in a roll over everything becomes a projectile in the truck. Found this to be very true even though I keep most items secured anyways. My center console opened the contents were strewn all the way down the hill. My satellite phone that was in the glove box ended up lodged behind the factory nav screen. (Took 30 minutes with a flashlight to find it) The findmespot transmitter that I had sitting in the cup holder ended up on the hill side. These are the two items that could save my life if needed and I would not have been able to use either one.

If/when I build/rebuild a truck I will remove the backseat and install a 3rd racing seat and on both sides build secure areas to hold gear in the truck. The satellite phone will be secured within reach of both driver and passenger. I will have a pocket installed on my shoulder harness for the findmespot transmitter so I can reach it at any time.

The damage to my truck is severe as you can see. It is up in the air at this time if I am going to walk away from it or rebuild it. Will come down to what the insurance says.

Please feel free to ask about the truck and safety equipment. However, I will not answer any questions regarding the accident or pending insurance issues. I am sure you

It has been over a month since I rolled my truck. It has been a long month with many phone calls, emails, faxes and a few heated discussions. I finely wrapped up the last part tonight and we settled.

Of course we have been planning on the rebuild since the roll but had to wait to make sure everything was going to work out.

So the rebuilding of RSV5 will now start. I spoke with Connor tonight and we are finishing up the final details. The way it is looking now it will be, a used cab, fiberglass fenders, fiberglass bed sides, new cage, frame cut off behind the cab, stretched 10 inches, long travel front, linked rear, Currie rear end with Detroit locker and gears.

I am sure there will be more as we get going. The plan is to build an updated version of RSV1.

I will keep you all updated as we progress. I am sure this will take a while but will be well worth the wait.

RSV1 is actually stretched 10 inches also. Hard to tell by the overall stance of the thing. It has to do with the linked rear end and the geometry. Way over my head.

I forgot to mention Icon maybe making the long travel shocks and coil overs for it.
