Are dudes really needing to have their shocks rebuilt this early? I mean I get those who are jumping and running dunes but do Starbucks parking lots really wear them out this fast? I’m at 40k miles and don’t notice any fade.
I used them on my 19 Raptor because one shock was leaking at 23K miles and didn't want to deal with the dealership and at the time, the replacement was like 3K. Got them all rebuilt and it was 100% better.

Can't speak to when they start to go bad as I generally swap out cars about 30K anyway.

You wont notice any fade when its very gradual and over a period of time. If you get fresh shocks youd notice the difference. Think about it like land shifting, you dont notice a difference because it changes over thousands of years. But its still changing. The same goes with shock wear ovet thousands of miles. Nobody in a 2006 civic with 300k miles ever thinks their shocks are worn until they put on new ones.

Fox recommends 5k or so off-roading or 50k on 100% street use.

I have 22k miles on my 3rd rebuild because how many off-road runs I do.

Any time your truck is moving so are the shocks. It doesn’t take big major hits only to reduce shock life. All of those small bumps in the road and uneven surfaces will gradually wear them down.
