that interior is ******* TERRIBLE. it looks like a late 90s stereo competition "custom" interior. :doublepuke:

Couldn’t exactly describe it but you summed it up quite well. Exterior has way too much rubber looking trim and the interior looks too ricer for my taste.

First, I'll state I'm not a Gen 2 fan. I'm not bashing Gen 2's, they're just not for me. That being said, you've apparently had 2 minor issues, the second of which may have been caused by the first.
You had an IWE tubing issue that you were initially unable to diagnose and relied upon the dealership to fix. They kept your truck for 27 1/2 days longer than necessary and fixed nothing, and probably caused the transmission leak when they opened it after falsely determining "the transmission was the issues for front grinding noise". Now you have an ongoing transmission leak that may be an easy fix if it's just the pan or stick tube hole (that has no tube).
In total, you have less than $10 in do-it-yourself repairs that could both be fixed in your own driveway on a Saturday morning. You fixed the IWE issue, you could drop the trans pan and reset it.
You bought a "specialty vehicle" (I use that term loosely), you should expect to have to diagnose and make minor repairs. I find I enjoy my vehicles more when I turn my own wrenches. It's not for everyone, but you did the tubing so you are capable.
The place where I agree with you and I would lose my mind is that they will keep a new $75k vehicle for any period of time with a problem under warranty that they are unable to diagnose (correctly or incorrectly), and not give you a loaner. Ford customer care and service is horrible... I tell everyone that.

I can tell you that this problem is not only Ford. I have had several and currently have an Italian manufactured car for my wife. Since the first month we have owned her car we have had something go wrong, or rattle, or have a yearly service that takes a min of a week and cost over $1k every visit. They also do not give out loaners at the dealership as well. While I agree that Ford may have bad service (I tend to do my own servicing on mine since I have the tools) they are not alone in this category. Try spending over $160k on a car that spends at least a month in service each year with no loaner. The only reason I (my wife) still has this car is because she loves it and keeps her from caring what I spend on my toys.

Ecoboost are a good engine , but are maintenance intensive. If you want good reliability , 3000 mile oil changes (prevent timing chain /phaser issues) , 10,000 mile spark plug changes (prevent misfires) , Air filters changed or cleaned same time as oil change (prevent turbo overspeed). This is what i do on my Tremor zero mechanical issues coming up on 30,000 miles now.

My honest opinion it was a poor choice for only engine option for a Gen2 raptor. If it had a 5.0 available i would have one in my driveway.

Most of this is the dealership more than the brand itself. Since 03, I've bought 10 vehicles from the same dealer, 8 from the same salesman until he retired after 23 years due to health. Most of them never saw any service other than oil changes. When they did have an issue, I always received a loaner and the work was completed quickly. If you form a good relationship with a dealer, they'll go out of their way to make you happy. I sent one of my relatives to my dealer with a Focus for the clutch issue and they gave her a nearly new Expedition Limited to drive.

I'd be all in if it was a forced induction 5.0 but not if it was a N/A 5.0
