That, and a lot of us (including me) are paying MSRP not ADM. You can get one today without a lot of trouble for MSRP, plenty out there if you are willing to travel. If these MSRP / ADM haters are waiting for Gen 2s to sell at invoice, they are going to be waiting a long time.

Here's why. Gen 2 is a much more premium / up market product than the original boat anchors that cost $35k and had lego plastics for interiors. Its tapping into a lot more buyers now that its actually a good premium product, which means demand has gone up. Not to mention that there is a lot of pent up demand from being off market for 2 years.

Speaking for myself - I never took a second look at the original raptor, especially the original 5.4. Gen 2 was announced, and it caught my interest enough to order one. My first ever Ford, and I imagine this isn't uncommon for a lot of Gen 2 buyers.
I have a 2018 locked in at invoice as soon as the order banks open 5/15. Same dealer I bought my 2011 from. Could of had a 2017 at invoice but chose to wait and see how they shook out before I order. I have never paid MSRP or ADM and never will.

With the Raptor, the ADM is based upon a fictional story that Ford dealers are pitching you. They want you to believe that these are limited production, that there are no more allocations, that there will be no 2018's, etc. It's all false, and it's intended to artificially inflate the market. If you think it is fair for dealers to disseminate misinformation, then this must be your first bbq."

Exactly. I've had a few dealerships keep telling me it's a very hard to find truck and that its very limited in production and for that reason the trucks will hold the markup value blah blah blah. Then I reply with the actual production numbers from raptorfinder.com and they just shut up. They use these tactics to sell to the misinformed it's their job to sell with the maximum profit. They do not care about ethics.
This truck is not limited by any stretch. Maybe limited in comparison to the near million F series trucks ford sold in 2016 but by automotive standards it is as mass produced as any other car.

Rltw, that's what they told me. They most certainly are not hurting . They could be just wanting to build a future with new customers. Not sure how or what they have worked out with other dealers.

Dealers do not pay sticker price for vehicles, they are scam artists.

You really are an ignorant human being and as crazy as this sounds actually has me thinking that if a small percentage of new raptor owners are like you I want nothing to do with a new raptor. You give enthusiast a bad rap. I put you in the same category as to how I feel about people that drive escalades....

I guess that "much more premium up market product" is why this forum is littered with issues and why so many are for sale with 300-1k miles.

My 11 scab and 14 screw boat anchors have been flawless.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's just these early adopters. They feel like they are owed something because they overpaid for a product that isn't even fully developed yet. As you noted, most of them will be Raptor owners for a very short period of time.

Ouch... I may or may not have an Escalade as well. I feel so judged now!

Poor J1 Jerkers. They come over to this section trying to throw their weight around and leave with further disdain for a superior truck and self loathing at the same time. They're a complicated bunch...kind of like women :lol2:

You're so incapable of making an adult argument that your name was changed to represent your childish demeanor. No one is interested in your opinion.
