lol....If you could enlighten me as to what I have "won" I would love to know....that statement is very confusing....what's the contest?

to be honest this is the only place that price is discussed....in the real world I have gotten lots of compliments and not one person has asked "how much did it cost?" or "how much over sticker did you pay?"

That, and a lot of us (including me) are paying MSRP not ADM. You can get one today without a lot of trouble for MSRP, plenty out there if you are willing to travel. If these MSRP / ADM haters are waiting for Gen 2s to sell at invoice, they are going to be waiting a long time.

Here's why. Gen 2 is a much more premium / up market product than the original boat anchors that cost $35k and had lego plastics for interiors. Its tapping into a lot more buyers now that its actually a good premium product, which means demand has gone up. Not to mention that there is a lot of pent up demand from being off market for 2 years.

Speaking for myself - I never took a second look at the original raptor, especially the original 5.4. Gen 2 was announced, and it caught my interest enough to order one. My first ever Ford, and I imagine this isn't uncommon for a lot of Gen 2 buyers.

Exact same here....I was just late to the game and ordered in Dec....didn't want to wait so found a truck on the lot....cost me but well worth it to drive it now as opposed to waiting til who knows when....

Put down the kool aid bro. Reality is calling and it wants you to know you're driving a Ford. And it's still slow.

photoneffect, my salesman said they are paying only sticker for them. They sold all their allotted 20 for sticker. I like the raptor, and from the get go is was not going to pay over msrp. The first thing out of my salesmans mouth was we are selling them at sticker.

Gen1s for 35k and the Raptor being a "premium product" I suspect april fools hangover.

It's still a Ford truck at the end of the day. You might be able to call the Platinum or Limited models "premium" but I think that's even pushing it.

Gotcha. I asked because I had a bunch of dealers saying they were selling for well over MSRP when I was looking to buy, but when I went to sell my preordered one (that I no longer needed since I found one on a lot so I wouldn't have to wait) they all the sudden didn't want to talk. As expected they talk out of both sides of their mouths so congrats on finding a solid dealer. They are few and far between.

Your dealer told you his dealership is paying sticker? If so, I'd run far and fast from that dealership.
