You're so incapable of making an adult argument that your name was changed to represent your childish demeanor. No one is interested in your opinion.

Don't try to push your butthurt off on me buddy. You're the one trolling the Gen II. You'll never see me over there as I have no interest whatsoever. Go circle jerk back in the J1 section with the rest of the poor saps...:mwah1:

On one solid note - with all the Raptor Owners on this site , it's worth about $1B to ford in funding [emoji23]

Oh I think you do. That's why you're always posting over here. You ever see me posting over at the old dog board? EVARRR?

Just admit that the new Gen II is a far better version than the old dog and everything will work out just fine. Actually by your posting over here all the time, that is an admission in itself :lol2:

Dealers pay "invoice" but technically they don't even pay that, they get what's called dealer holdback which is the amount payed to the dealer by the manufacturer for every new vehicle sold. Dealer holdback is a percentage of either the invoice or msrp of the vehicle sold. That is how so many of us were able to buy gen 1 at invoice, because even at invoice the dealer is making money. To me, if the dealer told you he was paying sticker as a way to justify selling it at sticker, then it is dishonest and scamish.

I think the disconnect is that there is a difference between what a dealer pays Ford for a truck, and what a dealer has to pay another dealer to get a truck. You are right that if buying from Ford, the dealer pays invoice but also gets a holdback and maybe even other incentives referred to as trunk money (not likely on Raptor just yet). But, if a dealer to dealer purchase, some dealers are claiming they are buying trucks from other dealers at sticker, which is possible since that is a secondary market and the selling dealer can technically ask whatever they want.

The buying dealer is taking a risk that he can resell it for more money, but is acting as a speculator in the market and trying to grab any available inventory from dealers willing to sell at MSRP before you and I can locate those trucks and buy them at MSRP. Remember, that all Ford dealers can locate trucks easier than you and I.

This is true, in the event that you didn't order your truck. My comments are purely focused on trucks ordered by the dealership or the customer, directly from Dearborn. Which in my opinion is the only way to go.

Its the locators

I spoke to a young girl that is a locator and they are making big money off the Raptors. Dealerships out west are paying sticker or a little more from dealers in the east. Dealers in the east then need a truck and buy back from the west. Meanwhile the locator services are minding the trade and making $ from each - this of course is passed to everyone else. What a racket ... This girl was 22 years old and made $103k transferring vehicles last year. She says that she had transferred about 15 raptors last week. She says its the same with the GT350r
