Ford Axes the 6.2

No turbo mouse motor for me! No way no how. Cannot blame Ford for killing the big boy BUT NA big motors can get good MPG's by using DI!! Ford bet the farm on "turbo" and is not backing off from it. The new truck may grow on me a little but it looks too much like a Yoda from the front and sides.

Many folks hate the Alum but I love that aspect of the truck! Keep the 6.2 boys they are a part of history. Bad thing is not much now and even less in the future with respect to aftermarket!

i like it its def growing on me a lot the more i look at it and see more pic. i wanna see what the motors are pushing in the hp department and im surprised they are using the old 6 speed trans but i dont have a prob with that. plus i really like the sun roof

Would be awesome to see a DI, DOHC, Aluminum block 6.2 with some sophisticated variable valve timing and maybe even cylinder shutdown.

I know our 6.2 has vvt but there's only so much you can vary on a single cam.

Ya screw the 6 cylinder turbos, GM has a V8 that's more fuel efficient than the ecoboost anyway.

It gets an estimate 1 mpg better and has 40ish less ft/lb torque. And its a stupid 5.3. If you want a v8, go big or go home!
If you want power and economy, go TURBO!

I like having the sunroof in my Raptor but a full panoramic roof would be an awesome feature
