New 2020 - corrected 2 previous attempts to get the truck where I made "smart" calls.
2012 I bought an F150 and settled on the FX4 due to towing capacity.
2019 I bought a RAM 1500 Rebel thinking it was close enough that the extra 15k wasn't worth it.
6 months and lots of swearing later the RAM is good and I'm finally a Raptor owner.

What was it with the RAM that just wasn't a "Raptor", just curious, and congrats, nice looking truck and hope you have fun with the fam.

So many minor things with the RAM - none of them showstoppers, but they all added up.
1. It got 12-13 MPG and had a small tank so you got 275-300 miles between refills.
2. There is a mass module on ram that is supposed to stop vibrations, but mostly just caused errors on start up.
3. Our driveway was steep enough the rear park aid would panic and lock the breaks when backing down in. And the front collision sensor would detect the car in front of you and beep constantly, even when in reverse.

Overall it felt more like the 2012 with bigger tires and buggy new tech features. The raptor actually feels like an improvement from the 2012 - better on and off road, and the tech all works (so far).

I am at 2 years and 60,000 miles, I still get pumped every time I get behind the wheel.

Congrats! Kids like these trucks too. And of course the adults. Looks like you already have it outfitted some. The bars on the back make for hauling toys easy.

Enjoy it and good luck.

Welcome to FRF!
The future Raptor drivers in your photo clearly agree with your Raptor color selection.

Well done.

Thx - I'll add one more - RAM is ugly as sin. Raptor is the best looking truck ever (just my opinion, of course).
