Thanks man. When race day comes if you want to follow the race from home check out www.race-dezert.com wearther man is broadcasting live over the internet. Ill see if i can get another spot tracker so you guys can watch from home and check in from time to time see where im at it relays my postion every 15mins. Great way to keep track of the riders and to find where they are at on the course. Plus always makes the mom's happy to check up from home and see there kids still racing along or have stoped

Dude Dave, I thought we all resolved this issue over the weekend why are you rehashing it?? I'm just glad you got a Raptor and soon you will understand the joy of driving one!! I don't think you need to go all agro and edit posts and change your sig...if people are butt-hurt from ur comments it's their issue to deal with not yours. You just keep doin your thing bud!!

Terry...you racing or chasing the 500?

Ray, I agree, as I have had several Stangs over the years, and have three kids, grown now but whatever. So the question I have is, did you try the cab with your son in back, and was that to small? I mean you own the cab now? I think if you put your son in the back of a crew there is almost a double edge sword that is is SO FAR back that its almost TOOOOO far back LOL. I know there are reasons, and I know the crew will sell to a select market, but if I was buying the Raptor, and the main selling point was a CREW, you may be better off buying a FX4 and saving a few grand! Just seems silly to pay for the off road options, in a crew length truck, when the FX4 in a crew would probably perform the same or better? Who knows... I am more or less going to keep mine on the road so who am I to judge LOL...

I sold my Crew to make room for the Raptor. I'm currently driving the back up vehicle, a Z71 Tahoe.

Anyhow, I didn't check the HD out with our son but it worked out perfectly. As for the extra cost of the 4dr Raptor off road package, I would just wait and buy one used. I saved 10k doing that with my HD. I also don't buy anything and not use it. I had mud on the roof top of my wife's Tahoe before it had a 100 miles on it....don't tell her though lol I took it out mudding and spent the night detailing it ;)

Now that funny! Yea, I sat in the back of the cab as is, and I thought it was fine. I am not over 6 foot, so that helps, but I thoght the cab had ample space for passengers, when needed. HOWEVER, I was wondering, are the seats bigger and better in a crew? I do not recall my crew seats being much different than the once in the current Raptor? Yes there was more leg room, but I just dont recall the seats being much or any different?

The HD (Harley Davidson edition) trucks uses bucket seats in the rear that closely resemble the fronts including head rest but slightly narrower and they sit up higher. These seats are in my opinion a lot more comfortable compared to a standard crew cab truck. I'm guessing the 4dr Raptor will have some nice rear seats as well making it more comfortable than a standard Raptor.

Ya, I figured if I would going to give up my stangs, I may as well get something fun :)

Anyhow, I honestly don't know when it comes to a standard crew vs standard super crew but I would suspect their very close. But the added room (if any) isn't the main reason I would buy a 4dr truck. We drop off and pick up our son every day from school. I would go crazy if I had to open the passenger side door and then the suicide door in order to pick him up or drop him off each day....it's a drive through line set up. With the super crew or Tahoe, he is able to let him self in and out without our help. Another thing that crosses my mind is daily around town parking. You just about have to fully extend a front door in order to open the suicide doors. This could be an issue with the Raptor being a wide vehicle and people parking too close. Our son is old enough now that I can have him crawl over the seats but this would be a nightmare with a baby seat. So if I was dealing with small children all over again, a 4dr truck would be a huge plus...especially a 4dr Raptor :)

Wow, those are two very good points, neither of which I thought of! I have never owned a supercab so this is indeed interesting. Good points!
