The OP picked up a 5.4. I agree I'd look for a 6.2, but let's be real the 5.4 is not really a slouch. It's adequate power if that's all that one can afford.

I bet with a bigger throttle body and a couple other tweaks you can get similar hp & torque out of it, if you really need to. Long tube headers can get you that big gnarly exhaust note, or if you REALLY want to go loud get an exhaust cutout!
