So I am surprised you have not gotten more grief about wanting to buy a 5.4 L 2010 raptor. I’m here to tell you that the 5.4 is not that bad in a raptor. The 6.2 is more powerful and better acceleration and torque. But you would not be disappointed with the smaller engine. It’s reliable, and if you want more power, you can do some modifications to it. If you’re looking to get a truck quickly, that blue one would probably be your best bet only issue is riding on those 20 inch rims and tires ride might be kind of rough.

its still a true Raptor since its the OG model. Its hard to fault him for wanting a clean truck that is actually available. Now if it was a regular F150 dressed up as a Raptor then the flak would be flying!

oh i just noticed the rear bumper+lights, new front headlights (alpha rex i think), front grille and the dooshy .50 cal bullet antenna (i got one too lol)
Yes, I love the exterior modifications. I don't know how I feel about the .50 cal bullet antenna, but whatever. :) I don't care what anyone says, the blue color is awesome on this truck.

The 5.4 is good. For the most part, ford worked out the known problems. I've driven a truck with both motors, and the 5.4 is not far off from the 6.2. You may squeeze a couple more mpg out of the 5.4.
Good to hear! I am in Minnesota, and all the 6.2's are rusted through with high mileage, AND they are still pricey! I think I can live with a 5.4. :)

I kept going back and forth with the 5.4L and 6.2L, but all the 6.2's are in terrible shape around here. The good ones are a bit out of my price range. I noticed the smaller tires, so I'll have to do something about that at some point. My drive to work and the gym is less than 4 miles, so I won't be putting too many miles on it. The drive from Indiana might be a little rough though! I guess I'll find out!
