The Controller comes completely programmed and ready to use. No tuning is required. The calibrations that come pre-loaded in the control module are developed by us in house both on and off road extensively. These calibrations are perfect for 95% of users. However the tuning software is there for the other 5% who may have different different needs, such as maybe a different shock or spring setup, more on or off road usage, or even just prefer a stiffer or softer ride. The tuning software is there for those users to get the full potential of their truck and more specifically their suspension and tune it to how they like it.

The tuning software is completely free to use and anyone can download it on our site. The optional cable you see is $10 and is a USB cable to plug the controller to your laptop. It is a standard USB cable, we just give people the option to purchase it directly from us to make their life a little easier. The option is there, if someone doesn't plan on adjusting any of the calibrations or just wanted to use their own cable.

thanks for the reply. once its set i would only want to change from loaded or unloaded

DSC Team,

I assume the testing and initial calibration was done on a stock GEN2 suspension (OEM Live Valves + Stock Springs etc.); if so, will you be doing any testing with 3.0 FRS Live Valves and provide an updated configuration "preset" for those of us with the 3.0s. At this point in the life of the Gen2, there are several folks that have made the upgrade to 3.0s by now and getting a configuration suite designed around the 3.0 FRS LV for your controller would probably be of interest to many.

You're absolutely right. We know there is a number of people who have moved away from the factory setup by this time and to other alternatives. I may have said it in this thread previously, but we are trying to have a truck equipped with the 3.0 Live Valves come in to our shop so we can have the suspension to run on our dyno and then create a specific calibration to those shocks for anyone to download. This is something we do pretty often in the market for other cars and common suspension upgrades. We create calibrations to optimize the most common upgrades and then upload them to our site for customers to go on and download calibrations specific to whatever they may have.

So, if I read your response correctly, you're saying potential buyers can buy your system now, and when you have the 3.0 FRS figured out, they can be downloaded? So, it looks like the cable is a must buy for that, then. Is this correct?

Yes, that is correct. You can really buy the cable from anywhere you choose or maybe you already have one laying around the house, it is just a standard usb to mini usb cable. But you would absolutely need a cable of some sort to connect to the control module and upload any new calibration

I know I'm asking a vague / subjective question, but would you recommend waiting?

The fact that your suspension systems work excellently in high end cars has me leaning hard your way. It's been proven to work, and work well.

The other fact is your Raptor system really isn't ready for the 3.0 FRS shocks, so I'm not sure what benefits it brings to buy now? And as stated, you need a truck with them. Man, I wished you were out here, LOL.

There isnt much of a need to wait really. (I may be a bit biased LOL). But with that being said, the 3.0's use the same solenoid as the factory Live Valves and work with the factory calibrations in the stock control module, there isn't a need to wait. It will work the exact same way. The only difference is our controller may not fully optimize the 3.0's until we are able to run them on a dyno to check the ranges. The controller will still do its job as intended and it is still going to improve your ride. The only thing our custom calibration will do is make it that much better.

You are still able to use our controller to reset the ride height sensors as well to match the new height. And can even go into our tuning software and adjust the "default rate" of the calibrations to compensate for the new spring rates.
