yup, thanks for the tip, there was a VDM reset service procedure. Not sure what it did, but the values in the as-built were the same before and after.

The as-built wouldn't change, it's the config of the module. I think you would need to look at the live PIDs to see what the shocks thought their height was before the reset. After the reset I assume they're zero. Maybe FordTechOne can confirm...

So looked at the live values. Looks like the service procedure for the VDM module reset does NOT re-calibration. Both front wheels are reading about +39 mm, which sounds close to what the eibachs added in height.

What I found interesting, not sure if its a problem with forscan, or something else, but I am not getting any live values for the rear end. Both rear wheels do not move from 3mm, as well as I am not getting a voltage reading for them.

Question is while the front suspension has sensors to keep track of movement, I wasn’t sure if the rear has any? That being said, I don’t think the shocks themselves have any feature in them to measure there current position. Maybe @FordTechOne can confirm.

I took a better look at your values and so see rear height values as well. So there must be sensors back there as well. They are only showing 3mm which can even be how your parked, etc.

So Forscan doesn’t seem to have an IDS routine to retrain the VDS?

You are correct. Only the front end has ride height sensors; the VDM is able to infer the rear values based on the input from the front (stock).

As far as the ride height service routine, haven't checked whether ForScan is capable of performing the procedure, but that would definitely be beneficial.

Ah, that atleast explains the rear not having any data.

This is the full list of service procedures I see in forscan:

Wow I didn’t even know we had a longitudinal acceleration sensor. I wonder what it’s function is?

Ok so you seem to be correct on the front shocks. 39mm = 1.5” and we supposedly gained 1.7” with the Eibach’s. So VDM does see the truck sitting high up front all the time. I gather stick springs would have height at 0mm five or take.

Looking at being 39mm constantly are the shocks truly valved as if the the VDM thinks it’s always setting the shocks to be ready to compress and come back down to a zero height. Scratching my head, our trucks are very well off now. Off meaning the VDM is somewhat lost.

I am going in on Friday for the reset. They told me a half hour of shop time. I have Eibach's and Deaver +3 HD's on my 2019.

Ok good, that cost sounds more than fair. Did it sound familiar to them? I’m curious on any info you pickup at the dealer regarding the training and how the truck is affected by any height adjustments.

Pics of your truck setup those springs would be cool too. Most of all let us know how the truck rides after you have it done. I’m sure it would be more pronounced off road.

When I called the service writer went straight to the mechanic. He was aware immediately. I'll ask what's happening when I get there tomorrow. Sounds like it just resets zero at the new height.
