we have switch to deaver since about a year ago. But remember its all in the prep and quality of the steal which dictates how long they last. Deavers do have the safety/military wrap in the front eyes which is nice. Both are progressive springs which means the spring rate rises as they are compressed.

+3 with a lt shackle will give you about stock ride height, a little higher in supercabs- this is how we set up the cantilever trucks- with out the shackle you will get full droop even with a regular shock set up most times.

Here is some pics of what happens when the steel isnt tempored correctly and is to brittle. I have experienced this with all manufactures. These springs squatted after one run. When these springs squat its due to quality of the steel.

So it's like what? A crap shoot on whether you get a decent batch of tempered steel? That would answer why there is such a random one person has no issues and another does cluster ****. I want to know where the steel is coming from and whose doing the tempering? Then I know right where to go to light my flame. To hell with starting at the vendor. I'm startin' at the top of the COC.

Regardless of the steel location and temper I'm not going to debate that. Our main issue the the customer service after the fact.

Huck, I know you don't want to turn this thread into a pissing match.
If your willing, can you please tell me what you think about wheel hop between Nationals and Deavers. Is there a difference? However slight the difference may be.

I have the SD Nationals, wheel hop is getting noticeable after one year. (No sagging!) Ride height 44 1/4 from ground to flare.
I want to bite the bullet on a new set either HD Nationals or Deavers +2

Honestly there is no wheel hop even with a empty bed. The rider is super plush. It soaked up heaves and road cracks like they weren't there. The nationals I felt all that even new. Every bump and crack shuttered through the rear end.

I really feel like with the deavers this is how the truck should of came from ford. Plush and soft and soaks up everything

I know what you mean, while my SD Nationals are far superior than stock, I'm looking to move on to something even better.

Thanks for your input.

I need help to make the decision :worthy:

On mid-perch already, tow a small offroad trailer (AT Horizon) 3~5 times per year. Would like to maintain the height I have right now and comfort.. What should I get? Deaver +2 or +3? damn, this is soooo hard :hmmm2:
