I agree,

my problem is wheel hop, while the SD did eliminate 95% when new, I want more.
And having to pay to ship them back and forth across the country just doesn't make sense for springs that don't solve all my problems.

Member Mike.S, just threw on Deavers +2 on his Whippled Raptor last week and he is getting wheel hop.

If I have to spend money again for HD Nationals or Deavers, I want as much input as possible.
I did shoot an email to Deavers today asking what can they do for my Whippled Raptor and the wheel hop.

Im curious where all you are getting so much wheel hop. I get none, and havent since i switched to 3.0"s and grabbers / toyos. I never get any wheel hop.

I cant say for certain which was the cause for that.

Get them re-arched.

I have the SD Nationals that sagged from the day I installed them. Finally went and had them re-arched after running in circles trying to get RPG to replace them. Even after they promised to send me a new set. Anyways, the ride now is exactly like Huck describes his Deavers. And it's made the biggest difference in off road performance vs. any other mod I've done to date.

All is great until you have to re-arch again.I didn't make 7 months since having the Nationals re-arched.

Hey Huck, it's just Whippled Raptors.

Speaking for myself I get wheel hop if I'm cursing at or below 40 mph and get to aggressive with passing someone and the wheel starts to spin.
If I try to launch with diff locked it will wheel hop, if unlocked the wheel will start to wheel hop once I get some speed and the tire starts gripping.

So far the only way I can race someone off the light is to go 4x4, or at highway speeds.

I'll have a spring under deaver pack or be 4-linked by then so no big deal for me. I do feel sorry for other folks who have these springs though. However, the shop that did my work said it's a soft spring that's designed to sag over time. He just couldn't believe the came that sagged and the company wouldn't replace them.

I'd like to hear from someone who's had Deavers for a couple years now and if they've sagged. So, Huck, is the ride as plush as the Nationals?

I re-arched my POS Nationals ONLY to buy me some time to figure out a sensible alternative. I have no doubt they will sag within a year.

I've had mine for almost a year, my rear height is still the same 44 1/4' from ground to flare.
But mine where never re-arch to Raptor stock height so RPG made me and bump stop block to rise the rear.

I've got just over 500 miles on the deavers so far, they are 2x as plush as the nationals from the "my ass scale" the nationals I had the sd's and the hd's both were hard all like prom ****.

They are plush to the point that now the fox 3.0" fronts seem stuff. Which leads me to investigate dual fronts and softer springs.

No sagging yet. Everything is still at the same spec as installed.

I doubt any spring will fix your problem. Trucks making to much power for just springs to handle. Your best bet would be to add traction bars. What would be really cool is if you could get some made with some quick disconnects for when/if you ever offroad. They will negatively effect the truck offroad but would settle your wheel hop problem.

In case you missed my post from earlier. Had them for a little over a year and more use than most. I have deavers +3. I did forget to add the street miles I had them on my 11 so it's more like 16,000-17,000 total miles and 2000 towing miles.

Glad to hear they're doing well for you. I have around 14,000 miles on mine of which approx 3500 are offroad (with 500lbs of gear) and 1500 towing a 6,000 travel trailer. Still perform great and no noticeable sag yet.

Thanks Bigg. Sounds like a good spring from what I'm reading.
