You should be ok, but a cheap charger is a good thing to have.

I have something like this but 25 years old. LOL
You don't want to go less in charging amps. otherwise it will that forever to charge a battery that's on it's way out.

Mine is so old that it has a 6v/12v switch and is a 4/6/8 amps, it does not have a start option like a one with a 4/6/8/50 amp.
I usually use 8 amp. and 4 and 6 for motorcycles and other small batteries.
You can use 4 amp. and let it charge over night it's like a deep cycle charge, but these new ones will auto shut off so it doesn't matter what mode.

All you really need is to keep the battery above 12.7 volts while Tuning.

If your going to Auto Zone see if they have a sale

10 amps. is more than enough.

Do you keep your lights on Auto?
What happens if you leave the switch off, do any of the LEDs flash when you turn the truck on?

I pulled the fuses for the radio, interior lights, and navigation so less energy is being drawn when cycling key for flash

You may want to not do that!!!
It could send a signal that something a miss.

Don't for get the PCM, BCM and Nav/Radio all talk to each other.

Just power them off. Roll down the windows and shut the doors.
