That's great that the forum got together to help someone, but I've seen more hateful BS posts on this forum than any other car forum I've been a part of over the past 20 years of internet car forums. I still have MY opinion that the majority of Raptor owners are *****. Not all of them, but almost every thread made has to have one ******* response. I don't spend enough time on this forum to care and only drop in here and there, but it seems like some of friendlier regulars should handle it and if it's only a handful they should be called out, not backed up in the same manner you're doing.
And you should hesitate on making comments about contributing to the community for the mere fact you have no idea who I am and what I do to contribute to a much larger community than Raptor owners. After spending the last couple of weeks dealing with fellow Officers being murdered, sending money to the Officer's families and looking over my shoulder to make sure I'm not the next target, I can assure you my head is not in my ass. My priorities are not on the Raptor at the moment, I was just simply stopping in for some info on the 2017's to get my mind off other shit.
@ThugHunter this forum has many characters and personalities that can reflect in a rather "rough around the edges" persona.
I accept this as I find that this forum showcases hard working people that may live next door or in a foreign land.
Let me explain.....We live in a time that seems uncertain. Society has become profoundly distrustful from many aspects and entities.
The job market has been drying up for many years now with little to no signs of recovery as the cost of living escalates past a geosynchronous orbit.
Most politicians are weak and have honed their ways of deceit to continue to perpetrate elaborate lies to control a free society.
Life is a tremendous struggle and people will vent and/or release frustrations easily on a forum.
Knowing this, I allow a wide berth for these people to vent as I share many of these same pains and frustrations.
We are, after all, "only human".
I do not judge my forum brothers and I will not judge you.
You have courage to post your message of concern on this forum in the wording that you chose knowing that it can inflame the community.
But I also have compassion for you and yours since the tragic events unfolded down in Texas.
We all persevere and struggle in our own ways through our own personal journey.
Life has proven to me, many times, that people are different and at times we may be quick to become offended.
Natural human instinct is to inject our own ideals to fend off invaders of our principles.
It's the nature of the beast and I'm sure you truly understand this.
Don't let a few misguided souls or statements unleash a bitter side. It's not worth it.
Take the high ground, sit back and enjoy life, good or bad.
Watch your six and stay safe my friend.
