That video is stupid, they took a car with a factory cold air intake, and turned it into a hot air intake sucking in the air under the hood, of course it's going to lose power, these guys obviously have no idea how a car works, only how to turn a wrench and swap parts

When I first ran my 375 Hp Evo on the Dyno my mate questioned my mods list and cost - he had spent around 2000 GBP more than I to create exactly the same power and torque curves- My answer - we are both engineers- some make more money that others, the rest have to use our skills

Thermodynamics, heat transfer and good ole Reynolds passes the answers all day long - why did I go to college for 4 years if not to use something and apply it ??
In reality I was poor and he was minted, so I had to make it work with some good old common sense and some engineering

Heat soak in the engine bay of the raptor in 45 deg C heat is simple ridiculous......the inlet tube passes right over the top of hell itself

Intake and cylinder charge volumes/densities are key to free power....well cheaper than most mods on a vehicle........use a graphite/carbon wrap on the tube - change the tube to a smooth bore tube - irrelevant whether plastic or ally, wrap it....free flow filters are good depending on your budget - One company stands by its reputation above all - K&N - Ive had dozens, cleaned em tons of times, Get Some more ! said K&N - foam filters suck especially on Forced induction....and suck all the shit too.....NAs dont complain so much..Ever seen a silicone intake tube squeeze itself closed under intake pressure ? - your raptor wont manage that , but generally thats where the ally pipe idea came from...
(by the way K&N will actively go to court to prove its filters are not the cause of a failure- pretty good PR- or just damn good product ?)

So simplicity - get cold air in to the inlet without it heating up - I am sure you guys have fixed a boiler before ? had to remove Fibreglass cladding etc ?? - so whats the problem? - In the USA / Canada you have simply the best resources in the world in your local DIY Build it all, whatever store, and you still complain cos a little dirty water got into a filter.....
Shit happens - your motor will only complain when you start throwing stones at it.....remember the combustion temperature ??

Free air flow- to filter - to smooth bore pipe to inlet - stop heat getting in keep intake temps down to ambient - done - Worth 20% unlikely.......5-10 % maybe - a good mapper can make all the difference.

I spoke to 5star a few months back - told him waht I wanted to make- he came back with 40-60 RWHP...........sounds like a good 10% to me

What does that mean ? 10%

Power delivery ?

Nothing else

Get your ass in gear and go find some free HP !
