well looks like someone with a cold air intake on there Raptor is going to have to make a trip to the dyno and test there stock vs cold air intake.

I just ordered my CAI with new exhaust. I will get a before and after dyno :).....if I get to leave the AOR.....Deployments are one of the few times where the word "extension" is not a positive thing!:throw:

CAI's are awesome. This is the second truck that I put one on and it does make a difference on throttle response and sound. Sounds really good and loud on the raptor IMO

Those R34s are tubro'd, the filter wouldn't be too far from the inlet of the turbo anyhow. Swapping the filters would barely make any difference in power.

Coming from the mustang world, anything pre- 2005 really didn't "need" a tune on a CAI/RAI install. In these cases, mustangs always made more power with a intake.

To be honest, it was always reccomended to get a tune at the same time, to make sure the MAF isn't thrown off due to the increase in airflow. I have a '03 Cobra which is supercharged. Every board and tuner said no tune was needed with a filter change, like with the video posted. With a CAI/RAI, a tune was practically mandatory.

Here is a good example of what I'm talking about:cnlperformance.com

They made the intake so that you didn't have to get a tune, but when you did, you remove a small insert.

I have all the air my Raptor uses shipped in from Antarctica.

I do the opposite, I hook my intake up to the dryer vent from my house with a long tube and rev the engine so that it can get used to running under adverse conditions such as extremely hot air.:fuckyea:
