GEN 2 Chance of an Ecoboost 5.0?

Specifically the intercooler design and the cam phaser oil paths. Both were not addressed in this engine design

Everything I see states that the 3.5HO has a redesigned valvetrain as well as more aggressive Turbo compressors with increased boost calibrations and a redesigned twin-Turbo system.

No doubt this engine flows for air at 18 psi, so I would be amazed that they would keep the same intercooler... but I have been wrong about Ford's thinking before.

Do you have proof that it's the same intercooler or is this just speculation as well?

It is the same design in regard to those two components. That is why this is such a big deal and folks need to fully understand.

Again, unless you can produce the same part number for both intercoolers I won't believe it.

The upper end of the engine has been redesigned and if the entire valvetrain is new, as well as the pump and block, why should I believe you?... not calling a liar, but rather a chicken little with nothing to go on but your own desires to downgrade the Raptor.

FYI - there is already a complaint showing up in the threads today for misfire.

Just trying to help you guys out. I have several years of painful experience with the ecoboost. Just trying to help.

If you care so much about everyone and there Raptors, show us photos of your truck that you have had so many issues with. Show us the photos you took while you where drilling the "Weep Hole", As much info as you offer you should have photos out the ass of all your great work. If you would be so kind and post the links to where you get all this stuff from. You remind me a lot like "Jake17" who was on here. All mouth and no proof of anything that you are talking about, please for the Love of God give proof, or go away. This site is here to help, not down grade the new Raptor or the owners, or people waiting to buy, or order one. Proof is in the pudding! Not in I read the other day! most of the "good or Bad" on here have photos, copy's of work sheets, dealer sheets, web address, and just good old "PROOF". Now bring IT!

Well this has been quite a rollercoaster of events... Yeah I didn't fully trust the website I linked but seeing past events of the first raptor (5.4 to 6.2 change) I thought it could be possible. Well we will see in due time!
