The frame is not as robust as the Gen 2 and it’s missing a lot of updated features. I have time and will just wait to see what the next model brings to the table. It will most likely be the next model as I prefer rear coil suspension for the rocky terrain.

Absolutely. Chevy did it with the LS7 V8 in the corvette and Mazda with their transmissions in the Miata ND1 AND ND2.

Just limp them outta warranty until they release the next beta model lineup. They all do it.

Except then Chevy put the LS7 back into production in the Z28 w/ the known valve guide issue (even w/ revised parts) & people still bought them & continue to buy them the entire time as a crate motor b/c it’s still that damn good & will wind up getting modified anyhow (in many people minds) so it isn’t a huge concern.

Wish there was an easy aftermarket “fix” that also improved performance as well as reliability like doing an AFM/DOD delete cam kit on a GM or Dodge

Doesn't sound like phasers at all to me.

The particular phaser issue is heard distinctly from the front where the issue is occurring and only lasts a few seconds at most. Post a video of the sound, recording it in front of the grill preferably with hood open.

Yours does sound similar and lasts way longer but definitely not the same issue.

If I had to guess, I'd say your chain is rubbing against the guide and when the tensioners take up the slack (also based on oil pressure building up), the chain is tightened and whala, no more noise. Though I don't know why you hear the noise on only one side.

Sounds like valve train to me, perhaps some loose tappets? I have this sound with mine as well, RPM related until warm.

Cams are not replaced for bad phasers AFAIK.

2018 with 12,323 miles.
I will have to take video from the front. I just randomly heard it as I started my truck remotely and was grabbing a kids scooter from under my running board...
