My sound is pretty similar. They exchanged the catalyst with no luck. In two weeks they will change the starter engine.
I read that thread before posting but thanks. There is a whole thread on this -- went and found it for you https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/loud-noise-like-a-metal-spring.104065/ known issue and no remedy (at least by Ford). My R (Oct 24 build) had a handful of issues from day one (and I started to hear this after 800 miles). It started to contribute to my list of reasons to sell. Hopefully by 26 model they will sort out gremlins.
Old Fraley has finally quasi woken up to Ford quality issues: https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/ford-change-its-quality-leader-it-chases-lower-warranty-costs-2024-12-18/#:~:text=Ford CEO Jim Farley has, workers to identify safety concerns.
What's stalled start? Does it mean the engine failed to start after ignition? On my raptor the start is very weak without a boom sound (but the engine will finally start). Not sure if it's the same as stalled start.I read that thread before posting but thanks.
This is my second R. The 23 had exhaust issues as well. Fixed by dealer. Also had the stalled start. Fixed by dealer.
This is most likely the exhaust actuator for the valves but wanted to see if anyone else had an opinion with a different video since that thread doesn’t have much in solutions. Every new manufacturer has issues with cars being delivered these days regardless of price, which is unfortunate, but just a standard since Covid I’ll just get this one fixed and keep it because it’s awesome. Sorry you sold yours.
Correct. You need a new fuel pump most likely. That’s the fixWhat's stalled start? Does it mean the engine failed to start after ignition? On my raptor the start is very weak without a boom sound (but the engine will finally start). Not sure if it's the same as stalled start.
Damn... A new fuel pump is needed from day one.Correct. You need a new fuel pump most likely. That’s the fix
Suppliers issues. Crap shoot if the part is good or bad. I personally feel it needs a bigger pump. Not sure if they made any changes to the 24 but at least my 24 doesn’t have that issue. My 23 had it from day oneDamn... A new fuel pump is needed from day one.
Mine was the opposite. 23 (probably the very first Rs built in 12/22) had the issue at least after 1000 miles but 24 (built two months ago) was day one.Suppliers issues. Crap shoot if the part is good or bad. I personally feel it needs a bigger pump. Not sure if they made any changes to the 24 but at least my 24 doesn’t have that issue. My 23 had it from day on
