^ it amazes me, but hey their are lots of impulse buyers with sucker written all over them.

This is what the dealer is counting on. Most count on people coming in and believing their BS. Luckily most people on here do their research and hopefully dont get ripped too bad......

Then the posts are in the threads about buying 2017 Raptors at sticker (or over sticker pricing). I've seen the posts from dealers / buyers talking about Raptors with and without CA emissions stickers.

To clear this shit up once and for all... EVERY single raptor in the country has the CA sticker under the hood. Fact. When people talk about not having CA emissions what that means is the free 'CA emissions option' on the window sticker is not there. What does this mean? This means you can register the car in CA you just need a smog check and to get it weighed.

It's crazy that every raptor doesn't just come with the CA cert on the paperwork but I guess the #MAGA crowd wouldn't buy it then.

To recap, every raptor is 50 state emissions legal with the same equipment on it, the CA option is in paperwork only.

What "paperwork" are you talking about? My truck has the sticker under the hood, has the no-cost option on the window sticker. I don't know of any other "paperwork" that would come with the vehicle unless its on the title or something.

I'm with the MAGA crowd; I'd buy it either way. Makes no difference in performance since they all are the same.

Here's the post by GizmoVance that makes it clear...

NOT A DAMN THING!!!!!!

In fact, the friggin' EMISSIONS STICKER is the SAME!!!! I know, I have the non-CA truck and have actually photographed it's sticker AND the CA sticker...and they identical...word for word!!! I'll even post a picture of both versions. The sticker on the Avi Gray (left) is the CA model, and the Blue is mine...a "non-CA" model (right).

I'm so ticked off at this charade, that I'm going to "try" and do something to make a change at the DMV. It's clear that they have not kept up with the current standards and labeling!

The ONLY thing that differentiates these trucks is a ridiculous CHECKBOX on the order form. But, I smell a greedy rat...my guess is "someone" is paying for that anointment; whether the dealer or the manufacturer. What a crock!

Sorry, it probably isn't 'paperwork' perse, it is likely attached to your VIN, so when you go to register in a CARB state, your VIN comes up as CARB legal.

Yeah, that's what I said.

Well, the recession was due to GWB... Anyway, for me personally I was really lucky - my wife is a teacher so she was unaffected (no raises for a few years but whatever). And for me, I own a company that installs and maintains computer networks and a lot of my clients are in healthcare - hospitals, subacute centers etc. People never stop getting old and sick :(

So we all agree now that every Gen 2 Raptor manufactured, regardless of the state it is originally destined for, can be registered in CA.

I have yet to find one case of a person buying out of state and not being able to get registered at CA DMV.

We just chatted via PM, and my dealer in Colorado would not let me register it to a CA address.

Where you live, and who your friends and acquaintances change everything.

Here in SoCal.. my friends, colleagues, neighbors, clients, etc have enjoyed the stock market tripling since 2009 (greatest bull market rally in history), housing prices reaching all time highs again (with people actually QUALIFIED to buy homes - wow, think about that..) and business doing great.

If you havent capitalized on the massive economical recovery that occurred in the past 8 years... thanks to the previous administration who got things handled vs playing on social media every day manipulating headlines with tweets - then I feel bad for you. I built a business in 2008 with $1500 in my bank account and have made millions of dollars since.

If your position sucks, and the last 8 years of your life were not good- don't blame the president, blame the guy in the mirror who couldn't make his OWN life great - and want some orange haired Ms Universe creeper to change your life for the better instead.. good luck - it doesn't seem to be working well already.

I think your dealer was confused or Colorado has some strange law about registration and selling cars out of state. If that's the case that's a Colorado thing not a CA thing.

I doubt there is anything special about your Raptor that would prevent it from being registered in CA before the 7500 miles. If you want to make sure just pop your hood and see if your emissions sticker has this. That's all DMV looks at.

If it doesn't please take a pic so we can see the difference and future CA raptor buyers know what to look out for.

Some dealers are ******** like that. They don't understand the laws and are afraid of selling a car they think they might have to take back... there are quite a few dealers who refuse to sell to sell to a CA resident, has nothing to do with not being able to register the car and everything to do with ignorant dealers caught up in FUD.
