And some of those are out of state Raptors they bought from other dealers so I doubt they have the ca emission option.

Of course they're CA stickered Raptors otherwise they can't sell/register them in CA.

All Raptors meet the CA emissions requirements however, not all have the option for the CA Emissions Certification and sticker that goes with it (makes no sense - I understand that). Without the sticker the Raptor cannot be registered in CA.

Ha. Yeah, there is actually 2 dealers down here and they both are still asking 20K+ on their 2017s last I checked. Greedy *****.

Haha so crazy I mean do they think their are still enough idiots out there willing to shell out that kinda mark up! I can see maybe $5K but that would be max.

Oh well they will save those as museum pieces I suppose.

That's what I meant. Like my Raptor I'm sure they have the CA emissions sticker that I posted earlier in this thread but being that they were bought out of state I doubt they have the CA emissions option from Ford.

Have you seen Raptors without the CA certification on the emissions sticker? I have yet to see anyone post a picture of one.

I bought a 2018 out of state.. I live in CA as well. It couldn't be registered to a CA address, so I reg'd it to a friends home in AZ. Saved in sales tax too. Then I will wait until it has 7500 miles and will just transfer it to CA as it will be a used vehicle and will pass smog.

Just an FYI, doing it this way may not work for you if you are financing it as an out of state address wont show up on your credit. I ended up paying cash for the truck to do it this way.

Why couldn't it be registered in CA?

If you read the threads you'll see posts about trucks that don't have the CA emission sticker under the hood. They exist and those are the Raptors that can't be registered in CA.

Never seen one without the CA sticker in the engine bay. AFAIK every single raptor made has it under the hood.

I thoroughly read through every thread I could find about CA emissions before I bought out of state. I couldn't find one example of a Raptor without the CA emissions sticker. You got a link? I want to see what the difference is.

Then the posts are in the threads about buying 2017 Raptors at sticker (or over sticker pricing). I've seen the posts from dealers / buyers talking about Raptors with and without CA emissions stickers.

<EDIT: Actually this is not correct - all the Raptors have the SAME sticker under the hood - the difference is the no-cost option - see my post below)

I see why you went with an out of state Raptor. I called your dealership in Palm Springs whom had 5 Raptors sitting on the lot, they told me $20K over MSRP I literally laughed and the guy then told me they get $20K no problem. I then asked "Why do you have 5 un sold ones sitting on your lot then?" He really did not know what to say next but stuck with his +$20K.

Hahaha I went to Bob Wonderies Ford in Alhambra California to check out the new Lead Foot color.

They said $25K over.
What was more insulting was the dash right above the speedometer had two tears in it!!!
The dash was literally ripped like someone stuck two pencils in at a horizontal angle!!

This they wanted $25K over for...

I laughed and they tried to convince me the raptor was a limited production car.
