Here is a video you can watch about them. Ford Raptor Bead Lock Wheels with Ford's Truck Communications Manager Mike Levine - YouTube

Seems you would need another set for a DD because not sure how practical doing that before and after an off-road activity would be.

MSRP on the ring is $179 ea.

Other than purchasing the locking ring, what has to be modified?

I daily drive my bead locked wheels/tires, I just check the torque on the bead lock bolts at least once a day and the air pressure whenever I start it up

This is why I'm debating doing full time beadlock. I was also thinking instead of constantly checking torque, just put some lock tight on the bolts.

I used blue locktite, it helps, but it's not 100%, and red locktite would result in having to buy new wheels along with the tires when you need to replace them, lol

I mean I went nearly 400 miles without checking them, basically I just check them at the beginning of the day or the end of the day

I also didn't check them for the 600 miles between the start of the raptor expeditions toy run and getting back home in nor cal, I didn't lose any bolts

You should monitor your bolt torque and air pressure whether you're running them on the street or offroad

What is bead lock? I saw the option but have no idea what that means.

Here's some picks Rogillio I don't have the tires locked on the rims but these rims are cool.

Not to be a jerk but have you owned a truck before? Or went off roading? If not, a Raptor may be over kill for you

Haha. I never post replies to earlier posts without reading the entire thread but have to post my initial reaction, since that's what this reply is. "Pretentious ****** bag." As you said, not trying to be a jerk, just saying what my reaction is. I saw your appology and Im sure you're not a jerk, but perception is reality, so for the community, and others that may react to a n00b with a simple question, I feel the need to put this or there. Also, and I hang in an upper lower class blue collar community who love the truck but immediately think I'm a ***** for spending 50k on a truck. So the perception is a bit personal. It's just a truck. A fun truck. Simple as that. It looks cool, it's fast for a big truck, and if you're lucky enough to tear up the desert with it, have fun, AND HOW CAN I HELP? Be supportive!

The insult was directed at me an I just chuckled when I read it. I wondered if maybe there was a test I had to pass before purchasing a Raptor to prove I was worthy of ownership and not buying more truck than I needed. :)

I accept his apology and will assume he had had a few drinks when he posted.
